Chapter 5
I groaned when my alarm went off, still wanting to sleep. I was working so hard on my assignment and I didn't get that much done. I probably fell asleep around midnight and it was now seven in the morning. My class started in an hour.
I turned off my alarm and turned to my side, seeing Grayson still sound asleep. He definitely fell asleep after midnight since I fell asleep before he even came home. It must have been some party.
"Grayson," I said, scooting closer to him. When he didn't move, I sighed. He had the same class as me and there was no way he could miss out on it. Missing even one class in university was extremely difficult. "Grayson. Grayson!"
He groaned and stirred before opening his eyes, looking very exhausted. "What?" he whined.
"We have to get up," I said.
He sighed and covered his eyes with his muscular arm. "I don't want to," he said. "I'm tired and my head hurts."
"Did you drink last night?" I asked. I had never been around Grayson when he drank, mainly because he only did it at parties and I rarely went to them.
"Possibly," he said. "Who throws a party on a Wednesday?"
"Who goes to parties on Wednesdays?" I pointed out.
"Touche," he muttered.
I sat up and got out of bed. "How about you sleep for a bit longer while I make breakfast? Eggs and bacon?"
"Yes, please," he said, sitting up to kiss my cheek before laying back down.
I went to the kitchen and began making breakfast for me and Grayson. We normally had something quick to eat but he had a headache so I thought he should have something that filled him up more.
While the eggs and bacon were cooking, I went back to our room to get changed. Might as well get ready while breakfast was getting mad to save more time.
I put on a pair of sweats and one of Grayson's shirts because I wasn't really in the mood to dress up nice. That was what hours of homework did to me.
By the time I was changed and my hair was brushed, breakfast was ready. I got out two plates and put the food on it before calling Grayson's name. He walked out of the room, rubbing his eyes. His blonde hair was sticking out all over the place. He sat down at the table and began quietly eating his food.
When I finished eating, surprisingly before Grayson, I went to the washroom to go brush my teeth. It was only seven-thirty by then, meaning I had sometime to spare before heading off to class. Normally, I would put on make up but I was too tired to do so.
I decided to watch some TV before I had to leave. Grayson finished eating then and after dropping his plate in the sink, he sat down beside me. "How far are you on your assignment?" he asked.
"A bit more than halfway," I said. "I have to do a lot tonight."
"Same," he said. "When I get home after my last class, that's all we'll do, work on the assignment together."
"Promise?" I asked. That was what I really needed; to have Grayson work on his will I did mine so I could ask for help.
"Yeah, I promise," he said, wrapping his arm around me. "Even if I still have a headache. I have to get mine done after all." He kissed my forehead and turned off the TV, pulling me up from the couch. "How about we go to the cafe and get some coffee and cookies? That will help us stay awake."
