Scott's point of view
I walked over to Alex's room, and knocked on the door.
"We need to talk." I called out.
He opened the door, rolling his eyes. "What about?"
"First, what the f🍓ck did you say to Mitch? He locked his door, and won't even talk to me. I called Kirstie, and she said that he called her crying. What did you do to him?"
"He tried to interfere with my life, and I cut him down to his true midget size." Alex crossed his arms, and leaned in the doorway.
"I'm sorry." I said softly.
"Pardon?"
"I said that I'm sorry."
He smirked. "About what? Have you finally come to your senses?"
I nodded.
"Finally! Took you long enough! Now, let's go get one of those weird flaming shots. They were creepy, but cool." He headed towards the bar, but I stayed still.
"Scott? You coming?" He asked.
I shook my head.
He groaned. "Come on! I thought you said that you'd come to your senses!"
I nodded. "I did. Which is why I'm not going with you."
He looked confused. "I don't understand..."
"Of course you don't. I told you that if it came down to it, I'd choose Mitch. And as you said something to him that now has him crying, I chose him. Go get drunk if you want. If you change your mind later, we can get back together. But until then, bye."
I then turned, and walked away.
Back at Mitch's room, I called him.
"Yes?"
"Mitchy, please tell me what's wrong."
"I told you not to call me that." He whispered, sniffling
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to deal with your boyfriend again. I think that I'm going to move out when i get back to LA, I can't bear to see him."
"What about me? And why would it bother Alex? And still, I don't understand."
He sighed. "I called the airline, and I have a flight back in the morning. I should be home and moved out by the time you guys leave here. We can discuss what to do about Wyatt, but I'll keep him with me until we decide."
I was startled. "Mitch! Why would you move out! What did he tell you? Why won't you see me? Please just open the door."
The door clicked open, and I saw Mitch's packed suitcase at the foot of the bed.
The next thing that I noticed were the tear stains on his face. I reached for him, but he pulled away, shaking his head.
"Oh Mitch..."
"What do you want?" He asked me, emotionlessly.
"To help you."
"Why would you care?"
Mitch's point of view
Scott looked heartbroken. "Because I lo- can't stand to see you this sad."
Did he almost say love?
"I'm fine, you're fine, scolex is fine, so just leave me alone please. I need to get ready for my flight home."
"Actually, none of them are fine. Just to clarify that."
"What?" I was confused. Yes, I wasn't fine. But the others were.
"Alex pretty much told me that it was you or him."
"What do you mean? I'm not with you. I'm a solo bird."
"He was jealous. And honestly, it wasn't even a choice. Of course it would be you! So, if you're leaving, so am I." He seemed so firm in his decision.
"But... You love him." I whispered
He gave me a sad smile. "I need you. I can't go 30 seconds without you. I lived years without him."
"But your book..." I said, barely audible.
His face went blank with panic for a moment, and then colour rushed into it.
"Pardon?"
"Your... Your book." I muttered
His face was part anger, part humiliation, and part sad.
"You looked in my book. Why would you do that, Mitchell? I trusted you!"
I was frantic. "I didn't look for it! Your mirror fell, and the book opened up to a page, and I may have glanced at it before fixing your mirror. But it was all talking about how you love Alex!"
"What!? No! It wasn't about him at all!" Scott yelled.
"Wait... Then who is it about?" I asked.
He looked at me, pained. "Tell me what you read."
"Umm... You just said that you missed him and loved his humour and he was perfect in every single way and how you can't tell him how you feel and that he's the most sassy person you've ever known and stuff. And I'm happy for you, really, but I don't want to interfere with your life anymore. So, I mean we can still be friends, but we need to stay away from each other. I don't want to ruin anything else." I swiped at tears violently, and faced him.
He seemed relieved. "Thanks for that. I think that you'd really like him, though. He's the smallest and cutest guy ever. He is really sensitive, and the queen of sass."
"What's his name? Do I know him? That doesn't sound like anyone I know. I hope that he accepts you though."
He stared at me, smiling. "Yah, you know him. His name is Mitchy, you idiot. And I love you so much, and I can't stand hurting you."
Third person point of view
Mitch's eyes tearing up caught Scott's eye, and he wrapped him in a hug.
"I hope that this doesn't ruin everything for us." Scott muttered.
Mitch burst into full out tears. He clung to Scott like he was a life raft.
"Just give me a minute. I need to dab my wetties." Mitch said. He composed himself, and turned back to his lifetime crush.
"Scott, I've loved you forever. I've just always told myself that I'm never going to be good enough for you."
The two just clung to each other.
"Do you still need to leave?" Scott asked
"I'm home in your arms." Mitch answered.

They stayed the rest of the trip, and played it cool.
They didn't let anyone else know what had happened, but had grown closer to each other.
