The New Ones

The Watch

I stay behind the trees watching the humans camp. They are gathered it a group huddling up to a fire. What are they doing? Don't they know that stuff is dangerous. These humans are CRAZY. I sit there. They are definitely not the same as us. I should've told my Mom about them. They could be a threat.  What are those things near their shelter. Its long and slender. It looks dangerous. The humans get up and walk away from their camp. Time to go see what's in there. I walk up to the camp. I walk into one of the upside down v things. There are bags with stuff in them. I dig through them. It appears to be Ambers bag. I search through the tents. I walk into one and in there I find a wolf pelt. I back up stricken by fear. These people are MONSTERS.

I stand there not able to move. I'm going to die here. I need to get out of here. I cant turn into a human. I don't want these MONSTERS to try and get to know me. I see a cage near a tent. I can fit in there but probably shouldn't walk in there. I go into a tent. I hear foot steps. Oh no.... oh god. No, no, no, no, no, NO. I hear them right outside the tent. I back into the corner of the tent tail in between my legs. I growl in fear. I bare my teeth preparing to be attacked. I see a human stick their head in. They scream and jump back. "There's a wolf in there! Shoot it!" They yelled "Wait!" I heard Amber say.

"Don't kill it just put it to sleep!" Someone said. I saw a long slender thing be put in the tent. It had a hole in the end. I growled wildly. I pushed into the back of the tent. I heard a click and next thing I know something went into my shoulder. I jumped and yelped. I growled afraid for my life. I was scared to death. I started to feel sleepy. I tried staying awake. I need to stay awake and defend myself. I fall over and fall asleep.

THE NEXT DAY

I wake up in the cage I saw yesterday? I think it was yesterday. People are gathered around me staring at me. I growl hoping they will go away. they just stand there staring. I can hear them whispering "How is it so big." "I've never seen a wolf as big as that." "That's amazing." I back up and hit the back of the cage. I need to call my Mom and Saile. I try to regain my balance as I stand up a bit wobbly. I look around. These humans are blocking everything. Matter of fact I don't even know if I'm still at their camp. I lift my head up and let out a howl. Apparently scaring everyone around me as they jump away.

I hear replies and I hear the sound of paws hitting the ground. Come on Saile don't fail us now, I think. The humans turn and look. I see my Mom and Saile growling. Mom runs at the humans knocking one of them over. She bites its shoulder as not to kill it, just to pin her to the ground. I then realize it's Amber. I think whether or not I should stop my Mom from holding on to her. No, I shouldn't she lied to me. Saile runs over to me struggling to open the cage. She looks at me saying, Do SOMETHING. I look at her telling her to backup. I push the cage door open and run out. I do a short howl telling my Mom to come along. She stands up letting go of Amber. I run off into the forest my Mom and Saile running behind me. I wish these humans never came here to explore this place. It was better without them. We could live in peace. Why would they even come here. What did they want from here.
