Guildarts put a reassuring hand on my shoulder as he addressed the guild. "I met her on my way back. When I learned that she was looking for a guild to join, I thought I'd bring her here, because no other guild can even compare to Fairy Tail." There were murmurs of agreement and then one person chirped "If she's looking for a guild, then I say we should have her join us!" I looked in the direction of the voice to see a white haired girl, but not the one from earlier. She had short hair and was wearing a pink dress.

There were nods of agreement. "I don't see why she shouldn't join us." The crowd parted, revealing a short, old man wearing a orange and blue outfit. "Come here, child." I walked over to him, feeling my heart pounding so hard against my rib cage that it hurt. "Where do you want your guild mark, and what color?"

I pondered for a second. I wanted it to be over my heart, but then I couldn't show it to anyone. I wanted it to be somewhere meaningful to me. I touched my left wrist and felt my pulse. I smiled "I'll have it on my left wrist..in orange." He then stamped me with the mark, and everyone started cheering. "Welcome to Fairy Tail." I felt my smiled broaden as I looked down at my Fairy Tail mark.

I choose for it to be on my wrist because I could feel my pulse from there. Fairy Tail isn't on my heart, but it is still connected to it. I chose orange because of what my father told me. "Be like the fire you can make with your magic." I wanted to be both fierce and strong, a color represented by red, and warm and kind, a color represented by yellow. My guild mark is the perfect combination of both colors, like how I want to be a combination of fierceness and kindness.

"Welcome to the guild, Emma." I turned around to see the pinkette staring at me.

"My names Ember, Pinkey."

"Hey! It's salmon!" He pouted. "Mhm." I said, unconvinced. "Oh and I'm Natsu." We shook hands. "Nice to meet you, Pinkey." He rolled his eyes. "What magic do you use?" He asked. "I want to know, so when we fight, I can beat you!" I snorted. "As if you could beat me. Oh, and I use fire magic." He smirked. "I used fire dragon slayer magic!" I let this set in for a bit, before saying.

"You're the one that was taught magic by a dragon!?" He smiled broadly, showing off his large canine teeth. "Yup! Igneel taught me." I grabbed him by his scarf and started bombarding him with questions.

"Do dragons really breathe fire? Do dragons have a favorite food? Why are dragons so hard to find even though they are massive?" I continued asking questions while jumping up and down. "C-can't breathe.." Natsu said, starting to look a little blue. "Heh, sorry." I said, releasing him.

The redhead came over to me. "Nice to meet you, I am Erza Scarlet. And, just as a warning, never touch my cake if you wish to see tomorrow." She said very formally. Natsu rubbed his head. "I still have a bump from the last time I tried to steal a slice of her cake.."

"How long ago was that?" I asked. "Ehh..About five or four months ago. Maybe longer. At least the rest of my cuts are healed by now." I gulped as I watched Erza walk away. She wasn't kidding when she said that..

"That over there is Lisanna." Natsu said while pointing at the girl with white, short hair. "There's Elfman, Mirajane, Levy, Bickslow, Laxus." He said, pointing to each person who the name belongs to. "Over there is Cana, Christin- wait. Where's Christina?" He said, looking around confused. "She went out on a job." Cana yelled, and started drinking a glass of apple juice, even though by the look on her face, she wanted a different drink.

"Okay then. There's my best friend, Happy." He said, pointing out a blue cat that was sitting near Lisanna. "Aye!" Happy said, looking over at us. "He can talk!?" Natsu laughed at me. "Yup. There's Gr- wait. Is that ice princess out somewhere?"

I heard the door creak open and shut. "I'm over here, Flamebrain!" A familiar voice said. I gasped. No..It can't be.. I turned around slowly, scared to see the owner of the voice. I knew it. I'd remember that voice anywhere. Even so, my jaw still dropped. Gray's eyes met mine and he dropped the large bag that he was carrying to the ground. The guildhall suddenly became silent. I felt my breathing quicken and my heart started pounding fast.

"Oh, there you are Gray!" Natsu said, obviously unaware of the building tension. Psh. Dense much?
