Nathan's P.O.V

"Well, excuse me, sassy pants!" Gabe yells at Cole.

"Hey! His pants aren't THAT sassy!" Joey says back at Gabe.

"Truthfully, they're terrible," Darren comments, examining his jeans.

"Time for school, kiddos!" Dad runs in, grabs Joey and Sam, puts them over his shoulders, and heads for the door.

"WEEEE!" Joey shouts with delight.

"My lawyers will hear about this!" Sam yells as Dad takes him to school.

"Awkward," Cole says as the silence falls.

I roll my eyes. "Later, losers," I say as I leave..

"Whatever," One of them mumbles.

I walk quickly to my car, happier than ever today.

Why?

Because I'm goin' to something amazing today.

Today's the best day ever.

Alice's P.O.V.

Today's the worst day ever.

I gotten woken up by the most annoying boys ever to walk the planet, had to skip breakfast, and was late for my first class.

Plus, I'm getting stressed about prom, as stupid as it sounds. I thought that Nathan would ask me by now but jeez! Next week is the dance!

Well, back to the story.

"Alice? Are you ok? You look...bad," Casey asks me.

"I feel bad. Do you have any idea have I feel? No date for the prom, headache, hungry. Ugh, help me, Casey! HELP ME." I hold onto Casey, being dramatic.

"But I could really go for some food. I skipped breakfast." I hear my stomach rumble loudly.

"Embarrassing," Casey says laughing.

"Hilarious," I say loudly, leaning into her face.

"Calm it downs, Alice." Danny puts a hand on my shoulder.

"I know. I'm just freaking out. Sorry, guys," I say apologetically.

"Don't worry. You should my Uncle John at taco night," Jackie says shrugging.

"Remember when I met him? Oh my god. That was so funny when your Aunt Judy had to stop him," Casey says grinning. She laughs at the memory.

"Back on the subject. Does anyone have some food?"

"Nope. Sorry, Alice," Sandy tells me. Danny shakes his head.

"I do." I turn around to find Nathan.

"Hey, Nate," I chirp, sounding happier than I truly am.

"Alice, dear, I need to ask you something," Nathan yells loudly.

"Yes, Nathan?" I ask him eagerly.

He goes to stand on the table next to us. Nate clears his throat loudly to get everyone's attention.

"People! People! Can I have your attention please?" Nathan yells around the courtyard.

"Alice. You are the girl for me. Will you, Alice Nicole Harris, go to the prom with me?" Nathan asks right in front of everyone.
