Chapter 11: A Surprising Take Of Events.

The journey was long and many stops took place. Everyone was ratty, being cooped up in a small space for a large amount of time was frustrating as there was nothing to do besides sleep or eat. Moriko was sleeping her head leaning against my shoulder, a bag of crisps lay forgotten in her lap. Yamato, Ayden, Kazue and I were awake- everyone else was asleep. We were a few minutes away from the meeting point where we would stop and meet up with the local pack alpha, from there we would all travel to the portal. On the other side, Tatsuya's beta would collect us and bring us to the castle. Moriko, her family, my family and I would then go meet the Queen whilst everyone else will settle down on our new lands. The van came to a stop as Yamato parked up. He turned his head to peer at us. "We're here. "
"Okay, help me get everyone up."
He grinned cheekily at me, "I can do that."
He turned back around and press the car horn letting a long honk. Everyone shot up in their seats. Mei started crying, Sakura shot a dirty glare at Yamato and he veered back by the intensity. I chuckled lightly.
We all shuffled out the van, I stretched my sore limbs, the pins and needles making me feel numb all over. Moriko came and wrapped her arms around my torso, her eyes dropped sleepily and she let out a yawn. I leaned my chin on her head. " Hey, you can't go dozing off. We're here now."
She lets out a muffled response as she opens her eyes and peers up at me. I grin as she narrows her eyes before flicking my forehead and walking off.
I walk around the car to the boot where I find Tatsuya leaning against the car's rear on the phone to someone. He holds his finger up signaling for me to wait. He cuts the line and lets out a sigh.
"The Alpha and his son will be here soon, we are to wait here until they arrive."
Not even a second later I feel Moriko's unease. Making my way towards her, I find her holding Leo who is crying and a guy making his way towards her.
I quicken my pace to reach her faster, wrapping my arm around her waist, I push her face in the crook between my shoulder and head as I let out a warning growl. The guy tilts his head to the side, a frown making its way across his face. His amber eyes darkened as he caught sight of Kazue clutching onto Sakura and his nose twitched. The wind blew, rustling the dead, dry leaves. As I inhaled, his species became clear and I felt like an idiot for not realizing sooner. His hair moved in the wind, the two toned stands of orange and brown, the mane of a lion. He took slow, careful steps towards us like that of a predator hunting his prey. His gaze was locked on Kazue. I looked at Moriko who was analysing the situation before turning to looking at me. Her eyes met mine, our thoughts on the same page at that moment. They were mates.
Someone cleared their throat which effectively caught everyone's attention. Two men stood in front of us, their eyes scanning the group, assessing the situation. The older of the two seemed to recognise the guy who was prowling towards Kazue as he walked up to him and pulled him into a hug, clapping him on the back as he did so.
My eyebrows rose in surprise as I watched the confrontation between the two. What the hell is going on? The man turned to us or more specifically Tatsuya who was making his way towards him. "Isaac, your here."
So this was the Alpha, the second man who was walking towards us must be his son, so who was the other guy?
Before my questions could be asked introductions were made and I got my answers. The Alpha turned to the rest of the group and addressed us.
"I am Isaac, the Alpha of the Light Walkers pride and current guardian of the portal to Laputa."
He points to the man on his right.
