Chapter 8: Having Fun With The Gang

Moriko

We all stopped laughing a while ago and Tatsuya started to explain, we all listened attentively as Tatsuya told us the story of the Royals lineage, our lineage. They were the first of the Shifters to be created by the Moon Goddess as wolves, the rest of the animals were created later. The Moon Goddess then gave them each a bit of her power each– a very tiny portion. Which then created the first ever Opal, Onyx and Chrysalis.

Back then to be a Chrysalis was a privilege, as it is now and there weren't as few. There were loads of them, one of them was a powerful woman named Alexandra, at that time she was one of the Queen's ministers.

She was the most powerful Chrysalis at that time, apart from the Queen and the Moon Goddess but the hunger for power got too much and she turned dark. She wasn't the only dark one, there were many others and together they formed a group, but the numbers were always decreasing due to the fact that whenever they met their mates they would change for the better and see that they were in the wrong. Alexandra also met her mate and they lived happily in peace with their children. By this time very few of the mortals knew of the Shifters existence, they saw them as a miracle, but with all good there comes bad and so the Hunters were formed. They went out of their way to kill innocent people who also had families.

It was on one fateful day where Alexandra her family were out, they were attacked and Alexandra lost her mate; she was heartbroken and couldn't find the will to live so she killed herself. Her children were upset at the loss of their parents and they swore revenge on two people: the Moon Goddess for even creating that feeling where a mate would feel like nothing when she or he lost her mate, and the Hunters for killing their parents.

Years passed and the children prepared an attack on the Moon Goddess, this was possible because the queen of wolf shifters was the Moon Goddess once they were ready they went to the castle and attacked. The Moon Goddess wasn't expecting an attack so she hadn't gotten any preparations done. That day was the worst day in history, there was so much bloodshed, many died and the Goddess herself was severely injured which has caused problems to this day.

That was the reason finding your mate was is so hard, the Goddess used so much power to protect her people and her family in the battle from centuries ago, that to this day she is still injured. After the first attack, the children went into hiding and they haven't been seen to this day, and with every day, the Moon Goddess is slowly dying.

We all sat in silence as we process this information, then Sakura spoke up, "There have been a lot of rogue attacks at the castle Mother can't handle them anymore, the protectors are getting tired of constantly holding up barriers. We came to your pack Ryuu to ask for help we need you and your pack to move to Laputa and stay there with us, there will be homes provided as well as training to help us. We fear Alexandra's children may be back for another attack and with the Hunters on the prowl for Moriko it will be much safer in the ancient land as the humans will never find it, it is after all in another dimension. So will you help us?"

I turned to look at Ryuu waiting for his reply. "I will have to discuss this issue further with my father before I make a choice; after all, it is a big decision that will affect everyone."

Sakura nodded, understanding the situation. "We will wait for your reply."

"I will have a talk with my father while you are waiting why don't you have a look around the pride's house. There are many ways to entertain yourselves." Ryuu looked at me, then said, "You go with them, spend some time with your family. You haven't seen them in a while."
