Chapter 5.

Ryuu

I was laying on my bed, Moriko was snuggled into me, her head resting on my shoulders. Her eyes had that look where she was deep in thought. There was a little worry line between her eyebrows and it made me wonder, what is she thinking about. Her cheeks suddenly flushed red and I smirked having a hint what she was just thought about.

There was a knock at the door and I got up to go answer it.

"Come in."

Riven walked in, Rina right behind him.

"What is it?" I asked

"Alpha wants to talk to you." He replied.

Crap, he's probably realised something's happened. I should have reported back to him as soon as I finished dealing with Moriko when she passed out.

"But then you wouldn't have found out Moriko was your mate." Dante kindly pointed out

"Yeah, that's true." I replied

"Well that's just me; I'm always right."

"Shut up."

"But you know it's true."

"Yeah, Yeah."

I blocked of the connection to my egotistical cat and looked behind me at Moriko who was now standing up. She smiled at me,

"Go, I'll wait here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yup." She said popping the P.

The others in the room were fully aware we were mind linking but they left us alone.

"Alright, I guess I'll be going then. I walked out the door with Riven behind me.

"Rina are you coming?"

Rina shook her head then said,

"No, if Moriko is staying her then she is going to need some clothes. I'm going to take her to the nearest shopping centre. Hopefully there's on in a neutral area."

"That's a good idea, just make sure you take Ayden and Yamato with you." Replied Riven.

"But I can look after myself." Rina pouted.

"No you can't, remember what happened when you ate 10 doughnuts at a party with your friends."

"But that's not my fault, they were just so delicious. I can't help but eat them." She said with a dreamy look in her eyes.

"Yes you can, you can tell your stomach to stop eating."

"Are you a retarded monkey, how am I supposed to talk to my stomach."

Riven huffed,

"That's not the point Rina, the point is, after you had your little feast you were so high you started stripping and nearly walked out the house in your underwear, shouting to anyone who bothered to listen about how you were going to the beach to become a mermaid. You are going with guards or not going at all."

"But Riven-"She whined.

"No buts." He narrowed his eyes.

I looked over at Moriko to see how she was taking this and was surprised to see a grin plastered across her face. She was biting her lip to refrain from laughing and I smiled, happy to see that she wasn't freaked out by Riven and Rina who were still bickering like children. This was one of their daily arguments, they weren't fighting, it was just something they do. Sometimes I wished they would just kiss and make up, everyone could clearly see they liked each other.
