A Hobbit and A Dwarf

VIII : Mirkwood

The company is all awake now, except Bilbo. We are having breakfast and our 'host' is warning us about Mirkwood. I avoid eye contact with anyone, especially Thorin and Gandalf. Beorn pours milk into our glass. I drink it as fast as he pours it, Fìli looks at me weirdly.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"Everything." I answer.

We chuckled a bit until Thorin snorts at us. Beorn lets us use his ponies. The ponies are beautiful and they're the best in Beorn's Hall. We ride as fast as we can. Beorn said to reach the forest before dark. I succeeded on riding on my own because there are more of us than the ponies. As we get closer the weather changes. It'll soon rain, that makes the dwarves ride faster. As fast as these ponies can go. I kind of pity the pony who carries Bombur. He's one heavy dwarf. We can see the trees of the forest and it slows us down a little. It's not green as it was told, no leave were on sight. Just branches and a little mist. I think the mist is me hallucinating. I arrive first, i went first when everyone is saddling up. Yes, i ride a pony with no saddle.

I lead the way into Mirkwood. I've been here three times before for far family business. Gandalf left us on our own. Sometimes Thorin is behind me, sometimes Nori, Balin or Fìli. Sometimes also someone would knock the path to make sure. As we get deeper and deeper i'm starting to feel dizzy. Fìli notices this. He walks near me.

"This is the way right?" He asks

"It is, i'm sure we're close. I don't think this is the Greenwood i know."

"And i think we should take a break."

When the company settle down I continue to walk. I feel really weak and very dizzy. My brain fails to think. I walk closer and closer to the Elven Kingdom, Thranduil's Hall. Something is bothering me, it's quiet. It's not possible. The gates are in front of me, how could there be no sound at all. I look behind me, the company is not there! I didn't realize. I lost the company! I can't take it anymore, no energy to panic. Maybe Thranduil could help me. I'm about to turn around but it's all black.

Fìli's POV

I tell the others to take a rest for a bit. I walk to my brother to see if he's okay. We take a rest for twenty minutes, then we continue to walk. I search for Nili, she's not here. Where is she?!

"Nili's gone! She was right there before we all rest." I say to Thorin

He looks, well, very shocked. I mean, how are going to find the right path? These hallucinations are not helping either. The sun. Of course, we need to find the sun. It's easier. The others are thinking of the same thing. Me and Kìli block the way to the climbable tree. Eventually we send Bilbo. As we wait i feel uneasy. Like something is watching us. I go to investigate, a sharp pain on my back. I feel something is spreading over me. I turn around after walking a few steps. My head is very very dizzy. I shout "giant spider!!" Before the creature grab me by it's legs and wraps me with it's web. I feel sleepy then, i try to fight it but it wins over me. Where Nili is is the last thing on my mind.

Okay, i didn't think of ending the chap with Fìli's POV. So the next chap will start with his POV then. I think this is not the best chap, i'm sorry if there's any misspelled words because i haven't edited some of the chaps. Hope you all enjoy reading :)
