XVIII : ASKING AND ANSWERING

Back to Nili's POV

I wake up to see Fìli on the floor. He fell from the bed.

"Fìli, what happened?"

"I just fell from the bed."

I pull the blanket from him. He gets up and invade the bed trying to get the blanket from me. After a solid five minutes of fighting over the blanket he surrenders. I start to laugh but then he charges at me and we fall to the bed together. Him on top of me. He falls to my side and we start to laugh. Not long after my eyes feel heavy and the world goes darker than before.

I'm sitting on a bench, beside me is Fìli. Four little kids are playing before us. At first i thought that we're on babysitting duty again. Then one of them, a girl, comes running to me while saying, "Mummy! Look what i made!" I smile and let her put the flower crown on my head. "It's pretty, just like who made it." I smile. Then she runs to make another one. As she runs, the view gets a little darker. I look at where Fìli is, red liquid coming out of his chest. He falls to my lap as i look in horror. The four little kids all screaming as they vaporize into nothingness.

I wake up straight. What was that? Why can't I dream other than nightmares? Why? I pull up my knees to my breast and start to cry. Fìli wakes up and hugs me. Someone breaks the door and comes in running.

"What happened?" Thorin asks.

"Uncle?" Fìli asks in confusion.

"Sorry, i thought something was in here. There was screaming here."

"It's okay, just a nightmare." I answer.

"You need something?" Fìli asks me as Thorin leave us be.

"No. Can we go out from Erebor later?"

"Sure, after i'm finish with the library."

"Okay."

He falls back to sleep real quick. I look into nothing as i think about the dream. Last time i killed him, now my children vaporized into nothing. What does that even mean? I really need a time out from all of this. I'm afraid to sleep so i'm awake until it's morning. I wash my face and change clothes. I made some with Dis' help. I wake Fìli up. After he gets dressed we walk to the dining room to eat. He goes to the library after then. I make myself busy with making another clothe for me.

Kìli's POV

My leg is still hurt. I can't even move it without feeling the pain all over my body. Gosh. I can't stay in bed for any longer. I miss Fìli too. Maybe i need to practice my coming so no body parts will be broken or hurt again. Yeah, that sounds nice. After my leg is all fine again, of course. I stare lazily at the door, imagining every possible ways of my brother proposing Nili. Strange things starts to come, my imagination is too wild, please change POV!

Fìli's POV

The dwarves are cleaning the room pretty quickly. After a few more shelf, i think, i'm done. Balin will take over the cleaning and renovating part. I can take Nili at that time, yeah. Sounds like a plan.

Finally, now to find Nili! I look at where she used sit down but she's not there. Where is- eh, never mind. She's here.

"We can go now?" She asks.

"Yes we can, let's get the ponies. I know a good spot!"

"Oh! Goodie!"

We run to the stable and get two random ponies. No one will notice. Then we ride for about half an hour and stop under a tree. We sit on the ground, she leans her body at me. Okay, calm down. Now's the time. She's calm, isn't she? Nothing could go wrong right... Okay, get yourself together Fìli. Now.

"Nili, i have something to ask."

"What is it?"

"Wait a minute." I move so i sit right across her and get the box out. Not the one mum gave me tho, that's for the wedding. This ring is a partner to her necklace that i gave to here. I open up the box. "Will you marry me? I know we're not that long together but i-"

"I will."

"Really?"

"Yes, i was waiting for this."

I move closer to him and put my finger in the ring. He can't move of excitement and joy i guess. I laugh seeing his expression.
