Samantha's POV

It's been a few days since my parent's came back. When I heard them at the front, I opened the door and jumped into their arms. Oh, how I missed them. I gave them the flowers and told them about my adventure in the forest. They listened carefully and smiled. "Will you write it as your new journal?" I asked, looking at them in the eyes. They smiled and said it'd be a good excuse to stay in Staerit. That was the happiest day of my life. I remembered squealing on the phone with the girls, telling them about it.

And here I was, thinking about spending more time with my parents. The only thing left for me to do was finding my Lucky Charm. What was I going to do?

I continued searching through my messy piles of clothes. While I was at it, maybe I should clean up my room. I chuckled at the thought of a surprised Annabil. I went downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a broom. I didn't want my newly washed clothes to get dirty.

I took the blue apron hung outside the kitchen door. I tied up my hair into a bun, grabbed a pair of yellow gloves and started working. I paused in front of my mirror and laughed at how ridiculous I looked. Never mind, I shrugged. I threw all the clothes on the floor in the laundry basket and placed other things on my small purple polka-dot carpet I have between my shelf and my bed.

Something was missing. What was it? I paused and looked around. My eyes found what I was looking for. I walked up to my music player and went through my CDs. I couldn't decide which album to play, so I closed my eyes and picked one. I jumped a little when the music blasted from the speaker. I smiled and went back to my chores.

Flashing lights and we / Took a wrong turn and we / Fell down a rabbit hole

You held on tight to me / Cuz nothing's as it seems / Spinning out of control

Didn't they tell us / Don't rush into things

Didn't you flash your / Green eyes at me

Haven't you heard / What comes of curious minds

Didn't it seem all / New and exciting

I felt your arms twisting round me

I should've slept with / One eye open at night

We found Wonderland / You and I got lost in

And we pretended that / It could last forever.

We found Wonderland / You and I got lost in it

And life was never worse / But never better

I started singing at the top of my lungs. I cleaned and danced. Knowing there was no one around, I imagined I was having a concert of my own and used the broom as the microphone. Finally, I clapped my hands together. Okay, now, I just needed to position things back to where they belonged. I took off the gloves and the apron. Ding!I went out of my room and went to get my laundry. I placed them in a clean basket and brought them back into my room. I sorted them into different categories and folded them neatly.

I was satisfied at my cleaned room. The clothes folded back in the closet. Trash taken out. I sat on the left side of my bed and let my feet wiggled in my carpet. I stopped when I realized I still hadn't found my opal.
