I heard an unclear voice, and when I opened my eyes to check where it came from, the sun's bright rays hit my eyes. I instantly shut them covering my face with the closest pillow I could get my grip on, and heard a voice say, "C'mon Sara, wake up! We'll be late for the interview."
"I wanna sleep, mommy. You can go alone," I said drowsily as I resisted the force trying to pull my pillow away from me.
I heard a laugh followed by, "I'm Natallie. Wake up! Jessica is gonna be here in any minute," Then, she successfully pulled my pillow away. I squeezed my eyes and finally opened them to see Natallie wearing a baby blue suit and skirt. I sat on the bed and asked, "Shouldn't you say good morning first?"
"Sorry, good morning. Wash your face and eat breakfast cause Jessica is coming and we don't have much time," she answered.
"Okay, but who's Jessica?" I said as I approached the bathroom.
"Jessica Brown is the anchor of Celebrity News. She called Jamal, your manager, and asked for an interview with you. Jamal called me few minutes ago and told me, so I had to wake you up," she replied before I closed the door.
"Oh," I answered knowing she won't hear me anyways.
After taking a quick bath, I left the bathroom wearing a robe I found. Mike was lingering in the room and inspected me from head to toe before saying, "Good Morning, beautiful."
"Good Morning," I answered ignoring his remarks and looks.
Natallie smacked his arm taking revenge for me. "Hey! What did I do?!" he whined.
"Get out, Mike! I need to get Sara ready for the interview," she commanded.
"Fine! I'll let the pretty ladies get dressed," he said and left.
"Why is he even here?!" I retorted when he was out.
"I asked him to bring you an outfit from Sam's clothes for the interview. You can just ignore his stupidity," she answered. "We don't have much time. Wear this until I get the makeup ready." She handed me a knee-length flowered dress and a green jacket. After changing into them, I wore a pair of green sandals to complement my look.
In ten minutes, Natallie was done with my makeup and hair. She didn't do much. I had to appear like someone who just left the hospital after all, so she kept my chocolate brown hair loose and added only light lipstick and blush.
Jessica and her colleges arrived on time followed by Jamal. As they set the cameras in the garden of the hospital, Jamal and I sat on a bench discussing the interview and how I should act. Jamal was wearing a white long sleeved shirt and a casual black vest. "If I had more time, I would have showed you some of Samantha's previous interviews, so you would have a better understanding of her personality," he started. "Basically Samantha is philanthropic, sweet, and caring. She was raised in a village by her parents who taught her a lot of good qualities. Then, she moved to the city when she was fifteen. Her dad had better job opportunities and took the whole family with him. Later, her parents died in an accident. Her older brother left earlier to study in Switzerland and then settled and married there; consequently, she was left to raise her younger siblings," Jamal said explaining more about Sam's life.
"You seem to really know her," I said.
"Yes," he replied with a smile. "Anyways, I should tell you more about the questions," he continued, "I asked Jessica for a copy and she gave me one. Here you go." He handed me the paper and said as I read through it, "I won't give you specific answerers. Instead, I'll just discuss the questions and their answers with you."
