Liam's POV

Warm droplets of water fell rapidly on my shoulders massaging my back after my long tiring day. I closed my eyes and enjoyed a moment of peace. Many thoughts rushed to my mind as I stood under the shower. I stepped out, dried myself, and tied a towel around my waist. When I left the bathroom, I was met by an angry Elizabeth who ordered me to finish getting dressed quickly and meet her in the dining room. Although I was longing for a good nap, I didn't try arguing with her. In a few minutes, I was done changing and was about to leave my room, but an idea struck my mind. I approached the night stand and took my cell phone which was left on a tissue to dry from the rain. Luckily, it was still working. I pressed the buttons dialing the number carved in my memory. Waiting for what felt like a century, I heard a sleepy voice answer, "Hello?"

"Hi, it's Liam," I answered.

"What do you want? I was sleeping," Sara groaned.

"Sorry, you can get back to your nap," I replied attempting to hang up.

"No, it's fine," she answered apparently lying. "What did you want?"

"Just wanted to ask when are you leaving and all," I said.

"After tomorrow, early in the morning," she replied.

"And when will I meet your substitute?" I asked.

"I'm going to talk to Jamal, and see if he can send her to work tomorrow or the day after that. Don't worry, she'll be here before I leave," she said,

"Good," I answered. "Sorry if I disturbed your sleep."

"It's okay, anything else?" she asked.

"Um, not really, but will I see you again before you leave?"

"Maybe," she said making me slightly itch on the inside.

"Fine, but please try, okay?" I pleaded.

"Okay," she answered.

"Good night," I said.

"Good night," she replied.

After hanging up, I noticed an enraged Elizabeth leaning on the door of my bedroom. "Are you done with your conversation, lover boy?!" she said impatiently.

"Yes, I'm coming but please, for god's sake, stop calling me all those stupid names! I have no idea where do you get them from!" I fumed.

She laughed and said, "Fine, I'm gonna stop when you tell me how did today go."

"Ok, I'll tell you as we eat dinner," I answered and lead the way to the dining room.

As soon as I reached the hallway, the delicious aroma of onion soup found its way to my nostrils playfully urging me to quicken my pace to the dining room. I sat on my chair watching Elizabeth fill my bowl with delicious onion soup. The moment she was done, I gulped a spoonful of the caramel colored liquid satisfying the hunger I never realized I felt. My sister laughed and said, "You were very hungry, weren't you?"

I swallowed the soup filling my mouth and said, "You have no idea! Today was very exhausting." I drank another spoonful and added, "It's either I'm too tired or this soup is a gift from heaven."

"Of course it's my cooking, you idiot! I would make a chef of the first degree," she bragged.

I ignored her egotistical comments and drank my soup. "So, what did Sara say when you confessed?" Eliza asked interrupting my meal.

"I didn't," I answered between spoonfuls of soup.

"You didn't tell her?!"

"No, I didn't."
