39- Bye Alexis

The tears rolling down her face made me happy. It made my smile stretch from ear to ear, and it was nearly impossible to wash it off. I could stare at her beautiful face for days and still not get over it. Every detail that was visible made me want to smile. Her dazzling blue eyes, her perfectly sculpted lips begging for kisses, and even the little mole above her eyebrow. She was completely irresistible.

The words 'yes' that slipped from her lips, fulfilled me in happiness. From one second to the next, she went from being my friend, to instantly being my fiancé. It was fascinating to realize that.

I stood up, onto the both of my feet, slowly nearing towards her. With the black streams of tears rolling down her face, she still looked absolutely gorgeous. I grabbed her hands and pulled them away from her face, bringing them to our sides. I intertwined our fingers, locking ourselves together, and then gently pulling her closer to me, so that our chests were pressed together.

Without another second, she jumped into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist, and cloaking her arms around my neck. Her face nestled into my shoulder, and she instantly began to cry.

I rubbed constant circles up and down her back, trying to sooth her down. As she sobbed into me, I opened my eyes, to see everybody's gaze on us.

Alexis' part of the family looked confused as fuck. With their faces scrunched up, and their lips parted, I knew they weren't happy with this. Peering over at my side of the family, everyone had their phones out, taking pictures and huge smiles plastered on their faces. Especially my mother...

I began to turn around and was about to walk out of the alter, when Alexis' voice called my name.

I tried to ignore her, but then I felt someone's hand roughly grab my arm.
I quickly spun around, with Avery still in my arms. Alexis stood behind me, holding up her big, poofy wedding dress.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" Alexis yelled, shoving me in the upper arm.

I jerked my wrist out of her grip, and replaced it back around Avery's body.

Alexis stumbled a little, as she watched me cradle Avery in my arms. She didn't look jealous at all. She looked more pissed than jealous.

Alexis shoved me again, but this time, Avery squirmed out of my arms and stood in front of Alexis.

Before Avery could say anything, Alexis pushed Avery too.

"This is all your fault!" Alexis yelled, rising her fist, and threatening to punch Avery.

Avery stood still, not seeming bothered that she was about to hurt her. Alexis moved her fist, and turned her upcoming punch into a shove. She pushed her shoulders, causing Avery to stumble back.

I quickly caught Avery, before she could fall, and propelled her up. Before I could give Alexis shit, a familiar voice interrupted.

"Mom!"

Everyone turned their heads, and noticed Alex standing behind Alexis. He looked very innocent and confused.

"Stop hurting them". He ordered.

"Alex shut up, okay? This is none of your business!" The tone in her voice raged in anger, causing me to clench my fists. You don't talk to my child like that.

Alex's lips curved downward, forming into a sad frown. His eyes became glossy and it made me want to punch Alexis.

Alex pushed past Alexis and ran towards me. I bent down and extended my arms, offering for a hug. Alex immediately jumped into my arms, burying his face into my already-damp shoulder.

I rubbed his back and grabbed Avery's hand, intertwining our fingers once again and giving her hand a little squeeze.

"Bye Alexis". I mumbled, turning around and walking through the archway of church.

And here I was... Walking into the next chapter of my life. No more Alexis. No more drama, and no more worries about our future. I felt like a completely new person. I felt fresh, and stress-free. The feeling rushing through my blood stream was undescribable. It felt amazing!

I believe this will be the last chapter of Tainted Love... But don't worry, there will be a sequel to this! A very looooooong sequel.
