10- Meeting Alexis

"How long am I staying here?" Olivia asks, as we reach the front step of Cameron's house.

"Just for a night. I'll come by tomorrow and pick you up". I reply, placing three knocks on the door. We waited for an answer. As we did, Olivia kept rambling on about what she and Alex we're going to do tonight.

Finally, after a minute of waiting, the door opened, and the little boy appeared behind the door.

"Alex!" Olivia cries, running into the house and throwing her stuff onto the floor.

"Hey Olivia. Hi Olivia's mom". He smiled, peering up at me with a gorgeous smile on his face.

The genes of Cameron were clearly visible on Alex. Alex looked exactly like him. The same hair, the same eyes, the same smile, and the same cute personality.

"Hello Alex". I smile back, slightly bending down so that I was at his height level.

"Is your father home?" I ask, looking past him into the modern, tidy house.

He nods his head, making his messy brown hair to flop up and down.

"Yeah, I'll go get him". He says, turning around, running into the house, and then disappearing behind a corner.

Seconds later, Alex and Cameron came back, walking towards me.

Once Cameron noticed me, his face lights up and a smile was drawn across his face.

"Hey". Cameron greets, leaning against the doorframe in front of me.

"Hi". I reply, looking past him at Olivia and Alex climbing up a set of stairs.

"Do you want to come in?" He asks, making me focus back on him.

"Uhm..I don't think that's a good Id-"

"C'mon". Cameron says, grabbing ahold of my wrist. I'm guessing I didn't really have a choice. It was either a yes, or a I'm pulling you in no matter what.

He dragged me into the house, closing the door behind me, and leading me down a long hallway.

Picture frames and wall decorations covered the walls, making the house appear more homely and decorative.

"I want you to meet Alexis". He says.

The sound of her name made my body run cold. Is he trying to kill me or something? Why on earth would he want his ex girlfriend meeting his fiancé? She would probably rip all of my hair out and then throw me out of the house herself.

"Cameron no, I can't do this, this is so wrong-"

"Alexis?" Cameron called, as we entered a kitchen.

The smell of garlic and chicken surrounded me as we stepped into the kitchen, and it immediately made me hungry.

A women with long dark hair was standing in front of a stove with her back facing us.
