Time to change

Jonah's POV

"I'm sorry for everything that happened, you do mean a lot to me, I'll call you tomorrow. Goodnight Jonah. Ella xo"

I read that text over and over again till I memorized it, I dont know what to believe if she really did mean it or not. She hurt me a lot more than any other girl has before, I had real true feelings for her since I first met her, she's been on my mind all of the time, my heart did a flip when she asked me to her ball, and god she was beautiful when I laid eyes on her, I thought I would be able to control my feelings for her, I mean come on I knew I was going to get rejected because why would a princess go out with a normal guy like me. I couldnt control myself when I had her against me when we danced, it felt so right with her. But I feel so used when she said about her boyfriend I could feel my heart breaking I had to get out as fast as I could. I left her standing there on the stairway I couldnt look back I would have just given into her beautiful face.

I got myself dressed and walked downstairs so I could have breakfast, when I got downstairs my mum was passed out on the sofa drunk, I sighed and put a blanket over her, things have been pretty bad since my dad died last year, I walked into my kitchen and grabbed a bowl of Coco Pops. I soaked them in milk and started to tuck in when I heard my older brother Davey come down the stairs, he came into the kitchen with a disgusted look on his face. 

"Mum passed out again?" he asked sitting down at the table, 

"Yep" I said while eating, 

"You going to sign up today?" he asked looking at the stack of papers that was laid out on the table, 

"Yeah, theres nothing left for me here" 

"What about that girl you liked? You went out with her last night didnt you?" 

"Ella? Turns out she dont like me back, she only asked me out because her stupid boyfriend couldn't make it. I guess that means never to fall for a girl 2 years younger than you" 

"Man that's deep" 

"Tell me about it, she was the only thing stopping me from signing up, but now I know she just uses me, just means I have nothing left, apart from you, and mum doesnt even care" 

"Want me to drive you?" he asked getting up, 

"That would be awesome dude thank you" I put my bowl in the sink before grabbing my jacket and the paperwork. We locked the front door once it was closed and headed to his car, we headed down towards the main hall in Southgate and I was getting more nervous by the minute. Davey stopped outside the entrance and turned off the car, 

"Want me to wait here?" he asked, 

"Um.. Nah it's cool dude I'm going around Zac's after anyway I'll walk" I said getting out of the car, 

"Okay bro, see you later" he turned on his car and started to drive off, I sighed and started walking towards the hall where loads of other men were entering. I qued up in one of the many lines and waited my turn, I looked back over my paper work a few times to see if everything is in order which it was. 

"Next" the woman at a desk said, I took my deep breath and walked over to her, "Hello, paper work please" 

"Here you go" I muttered and handed her the papers in my hand, she took them and looked them over, 

"Okay well everything is in order, we'll give you a call to see if you get in or not" 

"Thank you" I turned and walked out of the hall turning left and towards my best friends house.

Ella's POV

"I'm so sorry to hear that you want to leave Ella, I have to say it's such a shame to know we're loosing a very smart straight A student" my headteacher said while taking off her glasses,
