Ella's POV

We drove in silence towards Jonah's brothers college. Jonah hasnt said a word to me since we left his mums, he just kept his eyes out the window and his jaw was clentched tight. I bit my lip and reached my hand out till it touched his, he seemed to relax under my touch, his jaw relaxed and he looked at me,

"I'm sorry you had to see that Ella" he spoke, his voice was quiet almost as if he was going to cry, I gripped his hand tightly,

"Now you listen to me Jonah, you have nothing to be sorry about, I'm sorry I didnt see this sooner"

"Ella what could have done though if you saw any of this sooner?" he asked me, I bit my lip trying to think, "Nothing. You could do nothing about my mother and how she treats me and my brother" he looked at me and I could see the hurt within his eyes.

"Jonah, I would have done the same thing I would have done today" I told him and held onto his hand tightly, "I love you Jonah more than anything I just want you to be happy"

"I am happy, knowing that I have you in my life makes me happy" he smiled, "I dont know what I would have done if I lost you back in Baghdad. It kills me to think what if I was just a few seconds later than what I was" his eyes watered and I kissed his cheek softly,

"You wont loose me Jonah, I'm here until you need me" he grabbed my hand softly and kissed mesoftly on the lips, I kissed him back before breaking apart, he rested his forehead on mine,

"I love you Ella" he whispered,

"I love you Jonah" I smiled, the car suddenly stopped and I noticed we was outside of Hackney University. Jonah looked out the window until the car stopped outside one of the dorm halls.

"I'll be back soon, just going to grab Davey"

"Jonah I'm coming with you" I spoke getting out of the car, Jonah nodded and grabbed my hand as we walked through the door towards the fourth floor, "Does your brother live on campus?" I broke the silence me and Jonah were in.

"No, he lives with us but been living on his friends floor since I went to the army, we cant afford for him to live in the dorms" he explained to me, I bit my lip as we walked down the hallway, we got to one of the doors and knocked gently,

"Yeah?" a voice came from the other side,

"Davey its me Jonah" and the door opened to reveal a tallish looking man in the doorway, he had dark brown spikey hair and piercing green eyes. He looked nothing like Jonah because he was taller than Jonah and his face was a different shape. I couldnt help but stare at awe at this man who was looking at Jonah,

"Whats going on?" Davey's voice was husk and deep, he was wearing nothing but a pair of track suit bottoms and socks showing off his averaged toned chest and stomach, not like Jonah's.

"We've come to tell you I've left mum, I'm going to stay with Ella, I'm not letting you sleep on your friends floor anymore" Jonah explained,

"And where do you expect me to go Jonah huh? I have no royal princess to look after me like you have" he crossed his arms across his chest looking down at me,

"We was going to-"

I cut Jonah off before he could finish, "We have room at the Palace, plenty of room for you, chefs to cook your meals, a maid to clean your room, and a driver to drive you to and from university" I spoke in a soft tone explaining what we could offer him.

"I dont need people looking after me, princess, I've been looking after myself and Jonah almost all my life. I can take care of myself" he said to me.
