My phone began buzzing as my alarm went off and I squinted my eyes, disturbed. Ew, school. It continued to buzz non-stop, and I was soon fed up with its noise. I furiously sat up, grabbed my phone from my bedside, and threw it again at the wall. The sound stopped and I finally felt at peace but after coming to my senses I rushed to my phone, picked it up like a child, caressing it to my flat chest. Luckily, the screen didn't crack, and my child was alright.

I strolled to school lazily after two weeks of winter break. It was freezing cold, and my mom forced my to wear a black puffed up jacket that made me look like a fat, short penguin.

I soon somehow managed to reach my school in time to meet up with Charlotte, who was dressed in a long peach leather jacket with large, cute round buttons all the way down and a nice tan scarf that wrapped around her neck. Of course, she had ugg boots on as well. She looked gorgeous as always, boys looking her up and down as she passed them, sprinting towards me.

"There you are, Skye!" A smile spread across her lips and I felt mine curve into a small smile of my own.

"Yeah, here I am." I sighed, re-adjusting the backpack straps resting on my shoulders.

As watched my breath swirl in the frosty air, I suddenly heard a familiar, dreamy voice behind me.

"Good morning, Charlotte, Skye." I spun around to see Antonio's lovely face. He was also wearing a leather coat, but just black.

"Good morning!" Charlotte's voice sang.

"G-G-Good morning!" I basically shouted.

Antonio looked shocked at my tone for a few seconds, blinking at me with an open mouth but soon smiled and spoke.

"Goodness, Skye, your nose is so red you look like Rudolph!" Antonio laughed. I felt my cheeks burn to an oven's baking temperature.

"I'm sorry!" I cried without thought. I then turned around and began running.

He said I look like Rudolph!

I burried my face in my hands as I turned the corner to my locker. I intended to open my locker, but I was too overwhelmed. I laid my back against my locker and slid to the floor, embarrassed as all hell.

I heard footsteps near me but my mind was so blurred I couldn't make out who was there.

"Are you alright? He was joking, you know." Charlotte's voice sounded. I looked up at her with big eyes.

"He compared me to a reindeer... I mean come on," I grumbled, my face heating up again.

"A reindeer!" I reapeated, upset.

Charlotte bent down next to me and rubbed my back like she always had when I was upset. Even when we were little, she was always there to comfort me. When my dad passed away after the car accident, she was the one there for me.

Suddenly the school bell rang, indicating it was seven and time to go to class, it's noise startling and making me jump as always.

Charlotte got to her feet and extended a hand to me and I took it. She lifted me to my feet with a pull and we rushed to class, hand in hand.

I settled into my seat and listened to, my fellow latecomer, Charlotte's boots skidding against the classroom floor to her desk, which was in the middle of the second row, behind Antonio who was in the middle of the front row. The classroom had five rows of desks, each had seven. I sat in he fifth row, in the top right from the teacher's view. Because I was in such a spot, I wasn't noticed much by Mr. Harrison, allowing me to space off and stare out the window next to me.
