My alarm clock rang and I dragged myself out of my grave. I got ready as usual and went downstairs, dressed all acutely, but no, my mom just had to make me put on the fat puffy coat again.
I met up with Charlotte just outside my house and we strolled to school. As we walked it began to snow and the wind blew harshly. I looked at my phone and saw my reflection in its blank black screen that the skin on my face was being forced back by the wind.
I looked like a dried up walnut.
I turned to peek at Charlotte, and she looked like a damn diva with her smooth silky hair blowing in the wind, her eyelashes long, and rosy cheeks. The ugly, and the beautiful friends. It didn't surprise me because she was always looking gorgeous. Hell, even if you drew a mustache on her she'd still be pretty. I sighed and grabbed her hand to hold as we walked.
I sat at my desk, a few minutes early before class started. As soon as Hunter walked into the room I rushed to him before Antonio arrived.
"Hey, I got questions!" I said, staring up at the street light named Hunter.
"What?" You again?" Hunter sighed.
"Hey, we made a deal! Now listen, what type of music does Antonio like? Rock? Pop? And his favorite color? What about hobbies? Or─" The questions kept flowing and I could no longer help myself but bullet them out.
"Hey, wow, calm down! One at a time! He likes anything acoustic, green, and he paints. Is that good enough?" He looked at me with disturbed eyes. I nodded and grabbed a sheet of paper that laid on Hunter's desk.
"Hey, hold on, I was going to use that─!"
I took a pen from my jean's pocket and clicked the top of it so it's point would pop out. I wrote "Acoustic, green, art" and glanced back up at Hunter.
"Does he like cats or dogs? And what breeds?" I asked, rushed. The image of Antonio walking in on the moment burned in the back of my mind.
"Are you serious? How many things do you need to─"
"Shut up and answer the question." I glared up at him.
"Hold on, woman, let me─"
"Quick, quick, quick!" I rushed him.
"Listen up, you little punk, let me tell you someth─"
"Answer or I'll tell Charlotte you like he─"
"Dogs, and he likes french poodles, just don't tell Charlotte!" He interrupted and begged me. I smirked up at him with mischief for a second before jotting down "dogs, french poodles" I took a second to look over the notes.
Antonio :
• Acoustic
• Green
• Art
• Dogs
• French PoodlesI raised an eyebrow at the notes I took and raised my head to Hunter. I looked him in the eye and asked the biggest question with a suspicious expression.
"...Is he gay?" I asked bluntly. Hunter looked almost insulted.
"Excuse me?" His eye twitched.
"Is he gay?" I repeated with the same, flat tone. Hunter rolled his eyes with annoyine and sighed but then he looked into the distance and his face went blank, his eyes wide and his mouth open.
"Well?"
"Possibly..." His voice was faint like he was questioning it himself as he stared off.
"Are you serious!?" I cried with disbelief.
"Nah, he can't be. He used to have a crush on my aunt when we were eight." He explained, turning back to look down at me. I stared at him, confused and shocked.
