The Traitor

- Kylo Ren's veiw -

"He is a traitor, he is becoming increasingly weak, and cowardly. If he is not killed soon, he might be tempted to join that joke of a rebel movement. He must be eliminated."

"Right away supreme leader."

I can barley hear these words over the thumping of my heart, Hux is probably on his way now to get me. It is true that this past year, I have grown weaker and weaker, and I cannot connect with the dark side of the force any longer. I scramble to find an explanation, but I can only think on one thing, him. My father, I killed him, thinking that it will make me stronger, when it made me weaker, it makes my insides crumble at the mere thought of him, and I regret my life.

"THERE HE IS, GET HIM!" I hear Hux shout, immediately I break into a run, using the force to knock objects in his way, I can hear his footsteps and the ones of stormtroopers getting closer, and I quicken my pace. I find my self running into the landing dock, and I immediately climb aboard the closest ship that I see. When I am seated inside, I can still hear Hux's voice yelling at stormtroopers to stop me. I look down at the control panel, it has been so long since I have flown anything, I used to do it all the time with.... I stop myself before I get too far, I need to concentrate, I need to get as far away from this wretched place as possible. I look around, and finally after some time, I figure how to get started, and I take off, I realized now that I am terrible at flying this ship, but that does not matter because I am escaping for my life. I fly for a  bit, before I hear the familiar sound of guns being fired at me. I need to think of  a place that I could go, to be safe, and escape these lunatics, and the only place that I can think of is the rebel base. I quickly set the computer to jump to hyper space. I feel a sudden jolt, and then I see all the stars blur together forming millions of little blue lights, it is truly a beautiful sight.

When I finally come out of hyper space, I see it, my place of freedom, I steer towards it when suddenly I feel a heavy blow to the side of the ship, and I know that I have been hit, I check the screens which are now covered in red flashing lights and warnings signs. I start to panic, I have no idea what to do in this situation, but whatever happens, I will not die like this, for him, he gave his life, so that I could become the man I was supposed to become, before the temptations wrapped around my body and consumed my soul. I snap back into reality to realize that I am inside the planet's atmosphere, and I am heading for some trees, I try to steer away from them, but it seems that the blow has paralyzed the navigation system, I look around for another solutions and then........

- Rey's view -

I wake up to the sound of a crash, but when I look outside, I see nothing. My head is pounding, another restless night, ever since that day, that horribly twisted day, I cannot sleep a wink, my mind replays the moment of his death, and how, even when he knew that his own son had just killed him with his lightsaber, he still decided to lay a hand on his face as if he was saying "I forgive you son, I forgive you". I stand up and start to get dressed, when I hear a knock on my door, I open it and see that it is none other than my best friend Finn. He looks frantic, and also slightly scared for me.

"Rey, you need to come now, it is urgent".

I follow him without protest. My mind is racing for an explanation as to what could be so incredibly urgent. Over the past year, I have been training to become a Jedi, with Master Skywalker, although it took some convincing for him to agree to train me. Also, the Resistance has been try to hijack the First Order's communication network in hopes of gaining more information, but they have not been successful yet. 

We get to General Leia's office, and the doors open revealing a woman, who has a brave face, but her eyes are tiered, I suspect that she has spent countless restless nights thinking about the man she loved. It must give one a horrible feeling to have lost their husband, but to know that their only child was responsible for it, must make the pain ten times worse.

"General". I say as I enter the room.

She simply smiles at me, and gestures to a chair, I take a seat, and I find that Finn is sitting right next to me, I want to catch his eye, to make sure that everything is ok, but I see that his eyes are on Poe, who has now become a captain.

"I am so sorry to have called you all so early, but, well, we have some news from the First Order, and well, it is important". General Leia says, he voice is shaking, I can tell that she is scared, or at least nervous.

I then focus my attention on the screen now appearing on the wall. "A few hours ago", she continues, "we where finally able to hijack the communication system that the First Order uses, and this is we got".

A video starts to play, at first it is blurry, and I cannot make out the face that is talking, but then I realize who it is, it is General Hux. "People of the First Order, I regret to inform you that we have a traitor on our hands, who has fled to the other systems. Kylo Ren, has recently been discovered as a traitor, and therefore must be killed, anyone, who can kill him, and deliver his head to me, will be handsomely rewarded..."

I tune out the rest, Kylo Ren, is a traitor, that doesn't sound like the same monster that I met. That beast does not have a single shred of kindness in his body, and yet he must have done something horrible to be considered a traitor.

"As you can see, my son has escaped them for now, but we need to find him first, I believe he is finally ready to come back and we need to keep him safe. Starting tomorrow, you three will be in charge of a mission to find him, and bring him back to me".

I nod, I cannot start to think that when we meet again, will he return to his old ways? or has he actually changed? there are so many unanswered questions that I have, but before I am able to ask them I hear General Leia gives us one last set of instructions, "get some rest, because tomorrow, we will set off to bring Ben back home." I get up and leave the room as fast as I can, has she really forgiven him for what he has done? I reach my room, and I start to get ready for bed when I remember the crash that I heard earlier today. Could that be...? No, I tell myself, there is no way. I crawl into bed, and try to concentrated on sleeping.

Two hours later, I still cannot sleep, I need to know where that crash came from, and so I get dressed, and set off outside, not knowing what I would find.
