High heels were never my thing. They hurt me feet, and made me walk like a new born dear, but today was a special day. After months of preparation, stress, and waiting, today had finally arrived. There are many things that I thought I would not be able to do in my life, I had it drilled into my head that I would be stuck on that sandy hell hole forever. 

"Well, don't you look lovely dear" General Leia says as she gazes at my reflection.

"You don't think it's too much, do you?" I say as I scan my gown. It was a beautiful cream colour, with pink and purple flowers flowing down the back.

"I think it's just right, now hurry we have to go" Leia said. I steal one last glance in the mirror, tuck a stray piece of hair behind my ear and follow Leia out of the door.

We walk over to the elevator and step inside, both of us not saying a word until we finally arrive on the roof. The last time I was on the roof with Ben, it was raining, but today there was a gentle breeze that blew through the reception, it was a beautiful summer's day, and I couldn't have asked for any better.

I let out a huge sigh, my hands were shaking, "Here we go" I say, mostly to myself.

"There is nothing to be worried about dear" General Leia says, "Now where is Finn?" Looking around, I see no trace of my best friend. You would think that on a day like this, he would not be late.

"I'm not late!" Finn says as he rushed out of the elevator. He comes to a halt, smoothes down his suit and walks over to me, a big cheesy grin stretching from ear to ear. 

"You look lovely Rey" He says as he offers me his hand. I take it in silence, my heart was racing even faster now.

"See you both in a bit" General Leia says as she makes her way to her seat. From beyond the glass door and the tremendously long hallway, I could see Ben. Standing with his hand crossed, and a nervous expression displayed on his face.

"Let's go Rey" Finn says.

"Thank you Finn," I say looking at him from under my veil, "For agreeing to walk me down the isle"

"Thank you Rey, for asking me" Finn says as he pulls me in for a big hug, sadly the dress separated us quiet a bit, "Now we really must be going, we can't keep Ben waiting for too long!"

We walked over to the glass doors that separated us from the rest of the reception. As soon as the doors opened, a slow song started playing. Finn took the lead, walking me slowly up the aisle. I stole small glances at my feet, making sure that I did not trip over my dress. When we got close enough, I looked up and saw Ben, he had tears pooled up in his eyes and the biggest smile plastered on his face. When we got to the end, Finn let go of my arm, and handed me over to Ben who could not have been happier.

Then the priest began to talk. It was all a giant blur, I was lost in Ben's eyes, reliving or sweetest moments together. I must have had a very big smile under my face. Soon, it was time for the vows, Ben lifted my veil from my face, and began to say his vows.

"Rey, I promise with all my heart, that I will love you no matter what. I promise that I will always fold the bed sheets, and I promise that I will always make you soup when you're sick. I promise that I will bring you flowers everyday. Most importantly I promise to never leave your side" Ben finished and the crowd filled with some "aawwss"

Now it was my turn, I had practiced these vows a thousand times in my head before, "Ben, I promise to never make fun of your obsession with your grandfather, I promise to turn the bathroom light off, I promise to love you unconditionally no matter how much of a drama queen you are, and most importantly, I promise to always be there for you" More awwss ensued as i finished my vows.

"You may now kiss the bride" The priest said.

I felt Ben's arms wrap around my face as he pulled my close, I could not help my smile and blush. I never thought this day would come.

"Hello there Mrs. Solo" he whispered.

"Why hello Mr. Solo" I whispered back.

Our lips finally collided and it felt like time had froze, I couldn't hear anything, and yet I felt safe in Ben's arms. If there would be anything I could take out this experience, it would be to follow your heart, no matter how unlikely the love.
