When the morning came, I wasn't ready to get up. I got up, showered, and came out wearing a Palaye Royale hoodie. I sat on the bed, thinking about what we were doing today. Then, I remembered Drew. I walked into Josh and Tyler's room and, told them about the boy that was outside last night. "That's cool." Josh said, smiling at his phone screen.
"Are you texting Ashley?" I asked.
"Yeah. She wants you to call her." He told me. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called her.
"Sammy?" She asked after a few rings.
"Yeah. Hey, Ashley." I said, walking into the room Chrissy and I shared. I sat on the end of my bed and Chrissy rolled her eyes at me.
"Are you going to sing Strange Love at the concert tonight?"
"I don't think I should. It's your song, Ashley."
"I can't make it out tonight, though. I need you to do it for me."
"In front of 2 thousand people?"
"Yeah. Just about. It's not as scary as you think."
"I'm still terrified, though." I said, standing up. I walked out to the hallway and sat outside my door.
"I understand. I was too." She told me.
"Fine. I'll try, but I'm never doing it again."
"I won't make you after this show! Please, Sam!"
"Okay!" I said, smiling now.
"Have fun. I have to go."
"Bye, Ashley. Have fun doing whatever it is you do."
"You too." She said, hanging up.
The door next to my room opened and someone stepped out. Drew. What are the chances?
"Hey, Sam." He said, noticing me.
"Hey, Drew." I said, smiling. "I was just taking a call. Did I disturb you?"
"No. I was just going downstairs. I didn't catch Josh and Tyler last night, so I hope I see them today before they leave." He told me. He started rubbing the back of his neck like he was nervous.
"What's up? You look nervous." I asked.
"What are the chances that we're neighbors?" He asked, changing the subject.
"For real, Drew. What's up?" I asked again.
"Nothing. Really." He said, faking a smile. "I'm fine."
"Let me see your phone." I said, rolling my eyes.
"Why?" He asked, pulling it out of his pocket.
"Here." I said, putting my number in his contacts under Sammy.
"Thanks." He said smiling as if he were relieved of stress.
"Your welcome." I said, opening the door to my room. "Text me sometime."
"Sam! Come on! We're talking about important things in here!" Josh yelled from his bed in the other room.
"Who was that?" Drew asked me.
"My brother." I told him, turning around to walk in.
"He sounds a lot like Josh Dun from Twenty One Pilots..." He said, his voice trailing off.
"That's weird, isn't it?" I asked, playing it cool.
"Yeah." He said, giving me a suspicious look.
