"Rhianne" I giggled, taking another sip of my cherry Coke, "He was totally checking you out"
Rhi turned a bright red and stuck her tongue out at me, the whole time not taking her eyes off the tv screen"I wouldn't care anyways, my heart goes to one and only one man"
Charlotte groaned from the bathroom, "You talking about Caleb? UGH HONEY, get over it!"
I nodded my head in agreement and played with the straw in my mouth.
We were currently sitting in my bedroom, sprawled on my bed. Magazines, empty soda cans and half full bags of chips lined my carpeted floor. After watching Mean girls and American pie 2, we had engaged ourself into an intense pillow fight whilst listening to a fantastic playlist put together by yours truly... And let me tell you, it was AWESOME!
Charlotte and Rhi had showed up a bit earlier than we had planned and right now, it was only 10 o clock, and our pizza had arrived 5 minutes ago. The pizza guy had been "discreetly" eyeing my best friend as she fumbled around in her purse to pay for it and of course he was one hell of a cutie but Rhi was too hung up on her long time crush Caleb Brewman, who in turn was in love with Maureen, Charlotte's second cousin.
It was a nasty love triangle.
Me and Charlotte and had begged and prodded Rhi to get over him but in vain.
Rhi was very attractive...in her own way, with deep emerald green eyes and a tangled heap of frizzy blonde curly hair, freckles dotted her peppy cheeks and her dimples were to die for. Everything about her resembled brightness and fun... It was a trait boys found attractive at times and annoying at others. And why not? Everyone needs a little unlimited enthusiasm once in a while. She could sack anyone... Why she chose to run after that idiot Caleb was beyond me. Besides, he was already taken!
The pizza was lying untouched on my dressing table and Charlotte was pooping in my bathroom.
That left me sipping on cherry coke, and Rhi playing the newest car video games which she stole from my brother's room. I only had the Wii sports games and a couple of Bratz adventure games.... Hey, don't blame me, the brats rock!
There was a distinct flush from the bathroom and Charlie staggered out, grabbing another can of coke from my mini fridge and plopping besides me on the bed.
"Why?" Rhi said, rapidly tapping the buttons on the consoler and giving us a glance of disapproval, "So what if he's dating that ass! I can still admire his ass"
I sighed and buried my head in a pillow, "We need to hook her up with someone"
Charlotte crossed her legs, "Noted."
Rhi protested, "GUYS NO! Caleb he's ... everything—I'll get him one day."
Me and Charlie shared a glance and sighed.
"So" I said cautiously as I was about to open up a sensitive topic, "Are you going to finally tell me what exactly happened between you and Ashton?"
Charlie looked away from me, avoiding my scrutinizing gaze, "I still don't think I'm ready."
"GODDAMNIT THAT SON OF A BITCH!" Rhi yelled at the screen suddenly and flung the controller on one of the purple bean bags. "I can't play anymore, I keep losing today" she muttered to herself. "YOU KNOW WHAT!"
Me and Charlie shifted our attention to her as she said that.
"We should go out!" said Rhi, "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF BOYS AND VIDEO GAMES! Don't get me wrong, I love these little girly sleepovers but GUYS, we're 16! Okay! I mean Charlie's turning 16 next week but you get it. We have to go out and party and DRINK, MEET RANDOM GUYS AND HUMP EACH OTHER ON THE DANCE FLOOR!" She then stood up, grabbed the remote and hit play, and did her version of 'humping' on Harlem Shake.
