*Kylee's POV*
The rest of the day was a blur. I had a pounding headache that was unbearable and a lovely bruise on the corner of my forehead leading towards my eye. By the time the end of school bell rang, I was ready to go home.
I was walking out of the class towards the parking lot when Rosie texted me.
Good luck with Braxton!
I stopped in my tracks. I had completely forgotten about the study session! A second later my phone pinged again.
Be gentle with him!
I shove my phone in my back pocket and quickly started towards the library. I was not interested in being gentle, not one bit.
Pray.
What? I whipped my head around, searching for the voice, but there was no one there. Shaking my head, I continued to the library.

After what seems like hours, Braxton finally walked into the library. I was busying myself with completed homework, ignoring him as he sat down.
"So what's on the agenda today, teach?"
I felt my face get hot at the sound of his voice. After all, it was that some voice that ruined my reputation.
I lifted my head to face him. A wave of emotions played across his face as he took in my face: shock, disgust, concern.
I was probably imagining the last one.
"What happened to your face?" He asked with surprise.
I set my pen down. I could feel my anger rising, my hands curling into fists. Just as I was about to do something I probably would've regretted, I heard that same voice again.
Pray.
I paused.
I looked at Braxton and then down at my fists. I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me.
When I opened my eyes, I felt a wave of calm and relief wash over me. I gave a small smile to Braxton.
"I'm sorry," I began. "What happened was that I got hit in the head with a rock someone threw at me because they thought that we had slept together."
The blood drained from Braxton's face. "Really?" He asked nervously. "That's so crazy."
I closed my book and put away my homework. "I know that it was you, Shaw."
He flinched.
"But it's alright," I continued.
I wasn't angry anymore, but I hadn't forgiven him either. "I won't be able to tutor you anymore, though. It was nice while it lasted-well most of the time."With that, I stood up and walked out of the library, leaving a dumbfounded Braxton Shaw behind me.
