Is it just me, or do Mondays always come way to fast?

Because all I know it that I'm laying down Friday night excited for the weekend and then my alarm goes off anouncing that it's Monday. And I'm not to fond of Mondays.

Anyway, my alarm goes off at 5:30 sharp jerking me out of my sleep. I punch the clock and rub my eyes.

Seminary.

Groaning, I roll out of bed and drag myself to the bathroom to get ready.

It's not that I don't like it; infact, I love seminary. But does it have to be at 6 in the morning? I was not a morning person at all.

"Hey Kylee!"

"Hey Rose," I mumbled.

"Are you tired?" Rose asked.

I looked at her with a straight face. "No, not at all. It's not like it's six in the morning or that I got no sleep last night. Why do you ask?"

"You are tired!" She exclaimed.

"No poop, Sherlock," I muttered, opening my scriptures.

"I'm sorry," Rose said with an unapologetic smile. "I sometimes forget that you're not exactly a morning person."

I opened my mouth to respond, but right then Sister Bowle walked in.

"Good morning! Please open to 1 Nephi 11:17."

***

It was Tuesday after school, in library. I've been tutoring him for about a month now, and his progress has been steady but slow.

Braxton sat down next to me, setting his bag in the table with a thud.

"Hi! What's up?" I asked casually.

He shrugged. "I broke up with my girlfriend."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. It wasn't working," he said, searching my face.

"That's too bad," responded mildly.

It was quiet for a minute.

"I'm single," Shaw said.

I looked at him. "Yes."

He blinked and then shook his head. "Never mind."

"Alright...um did you do your math homework?"

"Yep."

I raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yep."

He pulled out a sheet of paper with math problems on it. To my surprise, it was completed.

"Wow," I said in shock. "Modern day miracles do happen!"

Shaw smiled. "Um...yeah. Did I get any right?"

Studying his work, I realized that he got about half of the right. It was a lot better than last time, so I gave him a grin.

"You did a lot better this time!" I said encouragingly. "Let's look at the ones you missed."

***

"Alright, that should cover it for today," I said, closing my book. "You don't have anymore questions?"

He shook his head. "Thank you, Kylee. You're the best."

"You're not so bad yourself," I replied, smiling.

We stood up and walked out of the library to the parking lot. While we were standing there on the sidewalk, he turned to me with a troubled expression on his face. I took a step closer.

"So...Kylee," Braxton said, stratching the back of his head.

"Yeah?"

"You belive in God, right?"

I nodded warily. I got a lot of questions concerning my faith. The difference was that some honestly wanted to know while others just wanted to make fun and criticize me. Unfortunatley, I was more used to the uncertified critic than to the earnest seekers.

"What do you think..." he trailed off, lost in his thoughts. I waited patiently for him to continue.

"How you think He feels about us, especially when we've done bad things?" He looked up hesitantly at me.

I smiled softly. "I know that Heavenly Father loves all his children, no matter what they do." I bumped him gently with my hip. "That includes you, Braxton."

A corner of his mouth tugged up, but his eyes were still sad. "But what if they have just been bad all their life? I don't get how He could still love us."

"Me neither," I sighed softly. "It's amazing, isn't it? God has an infinite amount of love and patience. It's unfathomable."

Braxton was quiet for a minute. He opened his mouth to speak, but a horn from a car interupted him. A sleek silver car streaked around the corner into the parking lot, scaring both me and Braxton. A tinted window rolled down to reveal the blond twins in the front seat.

"Yo, Shaw! Come on!"

"I'll see you later," I said. "Your friends are waiting for you."

He glanced between the car and I before finally responding. "Alright. See you."

As he walked away, a scripture popped into my mind, the one from seminary that morning. "Hey Braxton!"

He turned to look. "Yeah?"

"Google 1 Nephi 11:17."
