After the long flight from Ireland we are finally in Vancouver. I'm actually quite happy about that. Although Ireland is beautiful, I missed my home of Vancouver. I think the thing I'll miss the most about Ireland is the accents. I mean who doesn't love a good irish accent. Anyways going through security didn't take long and gettting a cab to pick us up didn't take long either. The thing that took the longest was strapping James' carseat into the taxi. It took a good ten minutes.
After a long drive due to traffic we were finally home. Stepping into the house that I grew up in felt amazing. It was good to be home. "Aren't you glad mom and dad got someone to clean the house before we got home. It would have took forever to clean this place up," Chloe said. I just agreed with her while I took James out of his carseat. He was wide awake and he was looking around at his new surroundings like the curious baby he is.
"Welcome to your new home," I said to James before kissing his forehead. I walked into the kitchen and made him a bottle so that I could feed him. He ate it quickly like he usually does. After I changed him then headed upstairs to see what Chloe was doing. I heard her music playing so I guessed she was in her room so I went to mine. All of mine and James bags were waiting to be unpacked in my room. I walked to the room next door and saw it was supposed to be James' room. Everything he would need was in there except a crib. I guess I'm going crib shoppig tomorrow.
I went to my room and grabbed the two suitcases that were full of James' things and dragged them to his room. I opened one and grabbed out his toys and layed them on the floor. I put a blanket down than sat him on top of it. Although James is only six months old he likes to lie on the ground and play with his stuffed bears and other toys. He talks to them in baby talk, and it's really cute.
I quickly unpacked all of his thing. I put all his clothes away in the closet because his room has a walk in closet that has shelves, hangers and drawers. He is six moths old and his closet is almost as big and as full as mine if not fuller. That boy sure is spoiled. There was a set of drawers and a change table in his room so I put his toys, diapers, bottles, and other things like that in those. When I was done in his room I started in mine. By then Chloe was done unpacking so she was sitting on my bed playing with James. She really loves her godson, she acts like he is her own.
It took me nearly three hours to unpack all of my things because I had to unpack my room and washroom. I was extremely tired by the end of that adventure. It was 8:30 at night by the time we were settled in. Chloe wanted to order a pizza for dinner, so we did just that. We probably were going to have to do that anyways because there was no food in the house. Tomorrow Chloe and I and James of course are going to have to do a giant food shopping trip on top of going crib shopping.
At 10:30 we went to bed. I changed into my pajamas then I went to James room to change him. James will be sleeping with me in my bed tonight because he has no crib. I hope he sleeps well because I'm tired and I don't want to wake up multiple times tonight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The Next Morning~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up at 9:00 the next day and that is late for me. James actually slept through the night and into the next morning. That is a rare occurance with my baby. When I opened my eyes he was staring at me wide awake. "Morning James," I whispered to him before kissing his chubby cheek and getting up. I went into his room to change his diaper then I went downstairs. I made a bottle and fed James. Chloe was still sleeping and I knew she would be hungry when she got up. So being the amazing sister I am I looked around the house till I found the keys to Chloe's old car. I strapped James and his carseat into the car then drove to McDonalds to grab breakfast.
When I got home Chloe was lying on the couch watching tv. "Morning Chlo, I got us coffee and food," I said to her. "Yummmy." That was all I got from her. She came up to me and took James from me and started talking to him in a baby voice. Her working at a daycare really made her crazy. He is my son and I don't even talk like that to him. Once we finished eating we went upstairs to get ready for the day. I dressed James in his white undershirt that says 'Ladies I have Arrived' on it with black pants. I put white socks on him and his black baby runners. I also put a blue zip up sweater on him. He looked adorable.
