Stubborn Love

chapter: 7

   It's been a few days since I met Zak and today we are going to hang out. He is no longer sick along with James so I dont have sick boys to worry about. The bad rainy weather is gone and the last week of spring break will have amazing weather.

   I decided to wear floral print jeans with a white tank top, a coral blazer, and sandals. I left my hair down and did my make-up naturally with coral lip butter. I looked in the mirror and decided I looked good so I went to get James ready, because he is hanging out with Zak and I. I dressed him in jeans and a t-shirt that said 'Party My Crib 2am Bring a Bottle'. I put blue socks on him to match his shirt.

   Once we were both ready and the diaper bag was packed I went outside to wait for Zak. He is coming to pick us up in his car. When he got here he jumped out of his car and literally came running over to us. "Hey girly, you look amazing," he said to me. "Thanks. You do too," I said to him and I ment it. That boy got style. He was wearing blue skinny jeans with a striped t-shirt and red toms. He looked fabulous.

   "Ok so we need to move James' carseat into my car from yours," he said. "That we do," I replied. It took a good five minutes to move the carseat from my car to his but when we were done we left right away. In the car Zak turned the radio on and 'Royals' by Lorde came on. Both of us happened to start singing it at the same time.

   After a ten minute car ride that was full of jammin' out to awesome music we arrived at IHop, where we were getting a late breakfast. When we were seated and we ordered I took James out of his carseat to feed him. "Ok Grace you need to show me a picture of James' dad. He looks nothing like you and he is super cute so his dad must be gorgeous," Zak said adding emphasise to gorgeous.

   I laughed and pulled up a picture of Josh on Facebook. For some reason we never unfriended each other. When I showed Zak the picture his eyes widened and a huge grin was plastered on his face. "Shoot this boy is fine. Think he'd go for me? You wouldn't mind would you?" he said jokingly. "Sadly I would mind and I dont think your his type sorry Zak," I replied to him. Zak told me he was an in the closet gay a couple days go. Only his family and me know that he is gay because he hates telling people.

    "Damn that is to bad, he is so sexy," he said with a cheeky grin on his face. "That he is," I replied to him. Eventually our food came and we ate quite quickly, both of us were starved. When we were done eating and back in the car we decided what we were doing next. "Ok your stuck with me all day so what are we doing?" he said. "Unfortunately I cant get rid of you till tonight so how about we go shopping," I said to him. "Awww girl that's cold," he said before driving towards the shopping mall.

   We went to almost every store in the mall. We spent the most time in Garage, Sirens, and Urban Planet though. Zak was being a first class jackass and he picked a bunch of stuff for me to try on at each store, so we took forever. At Garage when I was changing Zak decided to ask the question I've been dreading from him, "What happened between you and Josh and why arent you raising your son together?"

   I was quiet for a few seconds before I answered him, "When I moved to Ireland we were still together and we were till I found out I was pregnant. I was scared that he would be mad so I just froze him out I stopped talking to him and we drifted. He doesnt know James is his and we arent on talking terms," I said walking out of the change room. "Aww sweetie that sucks, and you look GORGE-OUS,"he said. I laughed at how caring he is before thanking him and going back in the change room.

   As I was changing into my clothes I heard Zak say, "You are so buying all of that." "Ok I guess, I haven't bought anything for myself lately anyways because I'm always buying stuff for James," I said before collecting everything and going to pay.

   Once we were out of the store I stuffed the bags into the bottom of James' stroller with my other stuff. "Ok, we have got stuff for James, and myself, and you. So the next stop is Starbucks then off to La Senza we go," Zak said. "I'm ok with Starbucks but why La Senza?" I questioned him. "I don't know, you cant go shopping without going to a bra store and plus I'm gay so it hardly will be embarrassing going panty shopping with me," he said in a teasing tone. "Fine but your buying me a Frappuccino," I said going in the direction of Starbucks.

    I went to get a seat and Zak went to order our drinks. While I waited for Zak to come back I fed James then gave him some of his baby cookies. I didn't notice Zak come back because when he sat down I jumped because he scared me. He laughed at me before saying, "One Grande mocha cookie crumble frap and one caramel latte," in a posh British accent  then he handed me my drink. I grabbed it saying, "Why thank you kind sir," in the same accent and laughing.

 Josh's POV

   I was walking through the mall to Starbucks to get a coffee  before I had to go to La Senza. Amy works there and she wanted me to bring her a coffee. I have nothing better to do so I agreed. After I ordered and received  my coffees I looked around to see if there was anyone I knew. My eyes immediately landed on Grace. She was sitting there looking beautiful as ever playing with her son. It's still hard for me to believe that she has a son. I was going to walk over to talk to her before going to see Amy but some guy beat me to it. Jealously shot through me seeing another guy make her laugh but there is nothing I could do so I walked away and went to see Amy.

    When I got to La Senza Amy came running over to me. As usual her clothes was too tight and she was wearing a lot of make-up. The only difference was that she was wearing her work uniform. She planted a wet sloppy kiss on my mouth which disgusted me, before taking her coffee. "Hey Joshy, thanks for the coffee," she purred. "Your welcome," I said back to her.

    The store was empty so I decided to stay and hang out with her. I was leaning against the counter playing games on my phone while she was telling me some story. I really could care less about what she was saying so I decided to ignore her and pretend I was listening. I said yeah or really every once in a while so she never noticed I wasn't listening

.   I continued playing games when I heard this musical laugh coming from a girl who was walking in the store. Usually I would ignore it but the laugh was very familiar. I looked up only to see Grace walking in with her son and that guy. Seeing them together especially in a bra store made jealousy and anger run through my veins. I clenched my fists to keep from getting really mad and doing something stupid. My attention was drawn away from my phone and to them.

   I could tell the guy was helping her pick something out and it made a pain stab in my heart and gut. I remember when I came to La Senza with her before she moved. Sometimes even before we were dating I would come here with her and embarrass her. She would always be blushing madly because she gets embarrassed easily.

   "Josh are you listening to me?" that coming from my annoying girlfriend brought me out of my daze. "What yeah I am," I said to her. "What did I say then?" she questioned me. "Oh looked at that a costumer," I said with a smirk because Grace decided to walk up just then.

   Amy being the person she is was a complete bitch towards Grace. It mad me mad the way she was treating her but I couldn't do anything about it. That guy who I think goes to my school decided to walk over to us with the baby. "Grace, James is crying and he wont stop," he said to her handing her the baby. "Zak you are such a hopeless with children," she said taking him. "Well he is your son if he was mine I would be able to make him stop," he said in a duh tone. "Whatever you say hunni," was her reply.

   "You have a son," Amy said in a snotty tone. Grace turned to Amy before saying, "Yeah I do." "Why would you want that? You don't get to live your life," she said to her. "It wasn't planned but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world," she said. This Zak guy grabbed her shopping bag before they walked out of the store leaving no time for Amy to reply. When Grace passed me she gave me a small smile.

Grace's POV

   After the encounter with Josh and Barbie at La Senza I wanted to go home. I was no longer in the shopping mood. When we got to my house I made us a quick dinner of pasta. I ran upstairs and put James to bed and changed into my pajamas before I came back downstairs. Zak and I decided to watch movies. We watched three movies and were in the middle of our fourth when my parents got home. I introduced them to Zak and since it was late they said he was aloud to spend the night.

   After he got permission from his parents to stay we finished our movie. After that we went up to my room to sleep. Zak slept on the couch in my room with a pillow and blanket I lent him. "Good Night Gracianya," he said. "Night Zakanya," I said before falling into a deep sleep.

How do you guys like me throwing Josh's pov in there. it wont happen often but every once in a while i'll do that.
