Stubborn Love

chapter: 15

   So today I am going shopping with Jen. Chloe is babysitting James for me so I wont have to worry about him when we are shopping. Today I have to get the perfect prom dress for prom. Zak said to try and get a light green dress, so that's what I am going for.

   I am meeting Jen at the mall because she was at Mason's house. They had a sleep over last night if you know what I mean. So I have to meet her there. Then I am driving her back to her house because mason is dropping her off at the mall.

   Today we are getting our dresses and our accessories plus we are getting a mani and pedi. Prom is in two days so we are getting our nails done today. I think we are also getting our hair done. Jen wants to get a perm and I am going to get some highlights in my hair.

   When I got to the mall I immediately went over to Starbucks because that is where I am meeting Jen. She isn't here, who would have guessed. She is probably making out with Mason in his car. I sent her a quick text asking her were she was then got in line to get us drinks.

   I got myself a double chocolatey chip Frappuccino and I got Jen a caramel Frappuccino, because that is her favourite. I found myself a nice table to sit at while I waited for Jen. I sat on tumblr on my phone while I drank my delicious Frappuccino.

   "Hey Grace," I heard, I looked up just in time to see Jen sit down across from me. She grabbed her Frappuccino and started gulping it down immediately. "Hey JenJen. What took you so long? We were supposed to meet ten minutes ago," I said to her. "Sorry about that. I kind of um lost track of the time," she trailed off into a whisper. "S'okay, as long as you two used protection. Don't want to end up like me now do you?" I said to her teasingly. She just shrugged her shoulders and continued to drink her frap.

   "So what are we doing first, dresses, nails, or hair?" Jen asked me. "Hmm I was thinking dresses," I said to her standing up to put my cup in the garbage. "Sounds good," she said following me out of Starbucks and into the mall.

  We've been to so many stores already. I found my dress quickly so now I am helping Jen find a dress. My dress is a light green colour. It reaches the floor in a flowy, soft material. The top has a crossed kind of pattern on it and underneath that is a green sash. It is also strapless, the dress is really beautiful. I also found my accessories already. I got a black clutch and black peep-toe heels. I am planning on pairing my dress with a silver bracelet and necklace I have at home.

   I was sitting outside of the dressing room at some unknown store waiting for Jen to come out. "Are you almost done?" I yelled to her. "Yeah and I think this is the one," Jen said stepping out of the dressing room. I looked up from my phone at her and noticed she looked gorgeous.

   She was wearing a blueish grey dress with sparkles on it. It had thick straps and it was mid thigh length. There was a longer piece at the back that reached the floor. It looked absolutely beautiful on her. She was wearing it with silver heels and she was also holding a silver clutch.

   "You look amazing Jen," I said getting up to inspect her dress better. "You really think so?" she asked looking at herself in the mirror. "You look beautiful. Mason is going to think you look just as good in the dress as you would out of it," I said to her smiling cheekily. "I guess you are right. I look hot," she said. There is the Jen I know.

   She was looking at herself for a good ten minutes before I decided that it was enough. "If you can finish checking yourself out already so we can go get mani's and Pedi's now," I said to her. "Fine fine fine," she said going back to the change room to change.

   Right now we are sitting in some very comfy massage chairs getting our nails done. I am getting a French manicure for my fingers and I am getting my toes painted a light green colour. Jen is getting her finger nails painted a silver blue and her toes a dark blue colour. When we were done with getting our nails done we went straight to the hair salon.

   "So what is going on between you and Josh?" Jen asked me while we were getting our hair done. "Well I am not really sure. We hang out non stop for a couple days, then we don't see each other for a while. James really misses him on the days we don't see each other which sucks because he needs his dad," I said to her. "Oh you guys really need to deal with that shit," Jen said back to me. "Oh Jen ever so supportive," I said to her sarcastically. She just shrugged her shoulders and went back to relaxing in the salon chair.

   We fell into a comfortable silence after that. I had my caramel coloured highlights finished and I was just waiting for Jen. Her perm is taking longer than I thought it would. I was sitting in one of the chairs waiting for her and I was on tumblr. I have found a new addiction to this wonderful site lately. I am on it every chance I get. It sucks though because I am on it so often my phone battery dies quickly.

   "Finished," Jen said walking over to me. "Finally," I sighed out standing up to leave. We paid for our hair and then left. "So how bout lunch?" I asked her. "Sounds good," she said turning towards the food court. We ordered some food from one of the places then took a seat at an empty table and dug into our delicious food.

Josh's POV

   "You are such a slut Amy, I cant take this anymore," I yelled at my so called girlfriend. Today I decided to be a good boyfriend and I was going to come visit her at work. Its her break time and I know she goes to the food court all the time to get some lunch so that's were I went to find her. Instead I find her making out with some random guy at one of the tables.

   Which leads us to were we are now. I am arguing with her. "Well you have been spending no time with me because you are always so busy with that girl with a baby. So I need to find other guys to satisfy my needs," she yelled back at me. We are in the middle of the food court yelling at each other so we are attracting a crowd. "You could at least wait for us to be broken up before you find some guy so 'satisfy your needs'," I said to her lowering my voice.

    "Well you were still with me when you had that baby mommy satisfy you," she yelled at me. Why does she have to bring Grace into this? She has nothing to do with what we are arguing about. "Stop bring Grace into this Amy. She has nothing to do with us," I said to her in a dangerously low tone.

    "Yes she does because you are spending more time with her than you are with me," she said to me. I sighed loudly before saying, "I am done with this and you Amy. We are over. You are free to open your fucking legs to whoever you want to now." I turned and walked away from her. "Not that being with you stopped me from open them as wide as the can go," she yelled after my retreating back.

    When I was leaving the mall I saw Grace with Jen. I sent a shaky smile her way before I left. She sent me a small smile back. When I got home I went to my room and changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt with runners. I really could use a good run to blow off some steam. After a good three hour run I came back home. Feeling calm and relaxed. Amy wasn't even a thought anymore. I am slightly relieved to be free from her fake tanned, skinny, lizard like claws.

   I went up to my room and had a steaming hot shower. The hot water relaxed my tense and sore muscles and washed away the anger from today. I put on a pair of shorts and went down to eat dinner. As soon as I was finished eating I helped clean quickly then I went to bed. Falling asleep quickly.
