Stubborn Love

Chapter: 20

9 Months Later

   "You can do it baby, just a little bit longer," Josh said to me trying to be helpful.

   "I have given birth before by myself Joshua James," I yelled at him.

   "Well sorry," he said

   I felt bad for yelling at him but it is his fault. He got me pregnant again. The doctor was yelling at me to push and Josh was whispering reassuring nothings in my ear. I forgot how hard and pain full child birth is.

   Two long hours later and I heard a small but loud cry. knowing that meant my baby was here I collapsed on the bed exhausted.  I heard Josh leave my side to go to our new baby. He was so excited to when he found out I was pregnant again. He was happy because he was going to be here for me and the baby this time, unlike with James.  I was happy that he was going to be here this time too.

   I opened my eyes and saw Josh walking over to me carrying a tiny pink bundle. 

   "Grace meet our beautiful baby girl," he said smiling wide with tears in his eyes.  a huge smile broke out on my face as soon as he placed my baby girl in my arms.

   "Hi my beautiful baby girl," I whispered to her kissing her little forehead.  she made a quiet whimpering sound and reached for me with her tiny hand. I placed my finger in her little ones and smiled down at her.

   "What are we going to name her?" Josh asked me. We have been debating about what we were going to name her for so long now. Josh and I have not been able to agree on a name but looking at her now I new that the name Josh wanted was perfect.

   I looked up at him and smiled before telling him the name of our baby girl. "Hailey May."

   As soon as I said her name a huge smile broke out on his face.

   "I thought you didn't want to name her that," he said.

   "At first I didn't but as soon as I saw her I knew she was a little Hailey," I repied to him. Josh leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips before planting a sweet kiss on Hailey's forehead.

   An hour later I heard the hospital room's door open and little foot steps running into the room. "Mummy!" James yelled in his adorable baby voice. He ran to the edge of the bed and peered up at me for a moment before trying to climb up on the bed. He was very unsuccessful though because he is still small and short. "Help daddy," he said looking at Josh.  Josh chuckled before lifting him up and sitting on the bed next to me.

   "James, meet your baby sister Hailey," Josh said looking at James. 

   "Hi Haiey," James said leaning down and planting a wet kiss on Hailey's cheek. I smiled at they way he said her name and how he reacted to having a sister.

   "She's cute," James said leaning giggling.

   "Yup she is," Josh replied smiling wide.

     His reaction to being a dad from the very start  is absolutely adorable.  I smiled wide and looked at my amazing fiancé, my adorable son, and my new beautiful baby girl. For the first time in a long time, I am 100% completely happy. I have everything I have ever wanted in my life and I know nothing could get better. Josh looked down at all three of us and smiled.

  "I love you. All of you," Josh said grinning.

   "Love you too," I replied smiling back just as wide.
