Laurent's Pov

She hated me, I hated myself for what I put her through. She's too beautiful to have a sad frown on her face. I swear I'll make it up to her even if I spend the rest of my existence doing just that. My breath caught in my throat when I had heard her voice, but since I had a little too much to drink, I wasn't thinking clearly. Now I was paying for my stupidity.

I had visualised meeting my mate for years, and each time I had played the scenario out, it had been one full of joy love and passion. Not once did I think there would be sadness, pain and an outright rejection.

Goddess, the pain I had felt when she started to reject me, I wouldn't even wish upon my worse enemy. It was that bad I momentarily lost consciousness. I woke up to the sound of the little princess talking about what I had to get done.

While I listened to her speak, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was way too mature for her young age of only four years old. I have heard of their intelligence, but I never thought visions were included to her gifts. Even the young fairy I now know as prince Joshua is gifted.

When she said no matter what I do I should never lie to Joshua, and that I be sincere that surprised me. She even said he already liked me. That's strange, I thought to myself.

As I approached the garden, she didn't hear me walking towards her. So not to scare her, I cleared my throat softly. When she turned around, I noticed she had been crying and knowing it was my fault, it broke my heart further.

"I'm sorry about earlier." I told her and she started walking away, until I grabbed her arm gently not wanting to hurt her. "Please just give me a couple of minutes to apologise. I won't take much of your time." She nodded and said ,

"Five minutes is all I'm giving you." Goddess her voice sent sweet shivers down my spine.

"That's enough for what I want to say to you. My name is Laurent and I m twenty eight years old. You are my mate and I'm a wolf. What you saw earlier meant nothing, I was on my way back from America on a business trip when she decided to join me knowing I was a relative of the king of wolves.
