Amrita's Pov

As I watched the party from the side-lines, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous as mates held each others in warm embrace, companions kissed and whispered sweet nothings to one another. I miss Danny so much it sometimes feels like my chest wants to explode. I did contemplate death a few times but the thought of killing or leaving my children behind gave me a reality check.

Danny had died for me to be happy, though his reasoning is still questionable. It is something I probably wouldn't ever understand. We had shared a passionate night and I had thought there were going to be many more to come. That was until he told me he was in fact a vampire. And that he was my companion. He said he was trying to get me back to the wolf kingdom where I would be safe.

I remember the unpleasant words I had said to him. Calling him every horrible names under the sun. All because of one man NOLAN. Not only did he let me speak, he had listened quietly without defending himself not even once did he try to. He watched me with eyes filled with love as I screamed at him. After I had enough, he asked if he could come closer to me and all I could do was nod my head. "I love you Amrita." Running his fingers down my back he had said.

"I loved you from the minute I laid my eyes on you. To protect you I hid the fact we were companions from everyone." I signed and leaned into his chest. "Though it hurts to know you have a wolf mate as well, I am willing to let you go if it means you being safe." At that moment for the first time I remembered I had someone else who was waiting for me. And that person loved me just as much as Danny loved me. Except I loved Danny more than the other.

No matter how hard I tried to let him know I loved him just as much as he did me, I couldn't find a word to express my feelings for him. I opened my mouth a few times but words failed me. Until he finally said, "I know, you don't have to say it Amrita. I know precisely how you feel about me." I had given him a grateful smile before his door was burst opened. Standing at the entrance was a very pissed off looking Nolan. Danny pushed me behind him and hissed at Nolan asking him to back off and stay the hell away from me. Nolan had laughed in our faces then proceeded to attack Danny with his cronies.

I kicked, screamed, begged and cried for them to let Danny go. It was all futile, falling on deaf ears. I was in a rage that wasn't ebbing our cause. Danny held his own and somehow we were able to get out of his home unscathed. As soon as we did, he had clicked a control I didn't know he had with him. Thereby blowing up his home with Nolan inside or so we had thought.

"Where are we going now?" I had asked Danny as we got in a car. To get you into a portal he had said. "A portal? On my own? What about you? You are coming with me right?" He shook his head. 'No' so I told him to stop the car that I wasn't leaving without him. I had given myself to him and for me, that meant forever, together we will persevere through all our 'trials and tribulations'.

"I love you too Amrita, but your safety comes first. And right now it's not safe for you to remain here." He spoke as we came to a stop. Not realising an ambush awaits us. We were running towards the portal when several vampires attacked at once. Danny tried fending them off me but was immensely outnumbered. He was scratched and bitten all over but never allowed them get to me.

All too sudden, Nolan and his buddies had shown up. The vast majority of them kept hungrily staring at me. I was thrown away from Danny, hitting my head on a sharp surface. I heard laughter and Danny pleaded with me to be alright and that I should hold on that help was on it's way. I knew I wasn't going to make it I could feel my body giving up. That was until I felt a sharp pain on my neck and a blanked out with everything going dark. The last name and face I saw was Danny's.
