George's Pov

Everything has been going as planned, security has been tightened and training commencing at a fast pace. I haven't set a date for attack yet but my soldiers as well as my citizens knew it would happen anytime so as to throw in the act of a surprise attack.

 

What I did know was that, I wanted Mira to have the twins before the impending war. I wanted us all to be there for their birth. Josh wants that and so did the quads. Who are looking forward to having babies around the palace. They've been keeping everyone on their feet with the babies imminent arrival.

Amrita left for England three weeks ago promising to be around for the birth of the twins. Something strange happened before she left though, one day while she was with Laurent and the rest of the family, Jin Joo stated that Amrita has a second mate and that she had to be with both her mates.

All I can say is, Laurent wasn't too happy about having to share her which for me is understandable. I would hate to share my Mira. He even tried to get them to mate before she comes in contact with her other mate but trust Amrita to refuse such offer. She went as far as telling Laurent she felt doing that would amount to cheating on the other now that she knew he existed somewhere.

She has told Laurent to stay away from her in the meantime though they're constantly on the phone talking to each other. We're all sure they'll make it work out if her other mate is willing. "Dad, I need to go away for a business trip." Josh told me as we were all sat around the table having breakfast. Knowing he has had to put a lot of his travel on hold for Mira's sake, I couldn't prevent him from leaving.

"How long will you be away for? And when do you plan on leaving?" Mira enquired before I could making me smile. She now gave him a pouty lip with the puppy face thingy going on. Everyone laughed seeing this. And that warmed my heart to no end.

Since the incident at the polo games, laughter has been eluded in this household. So getting any form of laughter brought me joy even if for a few minutes. "Come on mother, give oppa some breathing space. He hasn't gone to his in months, other than working from home and going by what he's told." Jin Joo came to Joshua's defence. I agreed nodding my head which made Mira scowl when she caught me doing that.

With both arms raised in surrender, I quickly jumped into defence mode saying. "Mira just wants you around until the babies are born son. She wants you there with her every step of the way. Right wifey?" I tried sweet talking my way out of getting into the bad books of a pregnant hormonal fairy she wolf. Bad combination I tell you from previous experiences.

They all cracked up laughing hard at me, but not my mate Mira, she saw right through my patronising attempt to pacify her. "You must take my simplicity for stupidity Georgie." Her lashes fluttered really fast at that, making me wonder what my punishment was this time.

"Oh goddess not the abstinence punishment again. Marcus wouldn't be able to hold back." I looked at her with dread filled eyes. My grand parents, mother and father and Josh all burst into loud laughter. The quads looked on wondering what was so funny that had me scared.
