George's Pov

Do you ever wish you had the power to rewind time? Perhaps if you could go back in time and then rectify a mistake you shouldn't have made? Yes I do wish I could. I have never wish for anything more, than I do wish I could go back in time to the night Mira got out of bed and went to confront Nolan alone. All by herself. I wish I hadn't been sleeping, I wish she had spoken to me and trusted my judgement on the issue. I wish she had never left at all. Too bad it's a little too late for my numerous wishes.

Mira's return had done nothing but brought even more despair to everyone around us. With the constant reminder of what had occurred. No matter how much one tries to forget, there's the pregnancy that seem to be protruding every day.

I haven't been able to go anywhere near her. For some reasons Marcus wants to kill the babies. And I want to protect Mira hence the conflict of interest. Unfortunately Mira wouldn't speak to anyone so I don't even know what she wants or what she's thinking. All she does is stare blankly all day. The only time you'd get little reaction from her is when she looks at Amrita. Even with that what you get are her tears.

With the many degrees I hold, non of them could help her. None of the degrees told me how to help a raped pregnant depressed mate. Nobody knows what to do. "Dad I would like a word with you. It's urgent if you don't mind." I heard Joshua's voice breaking me out of my thoughts. With a sigh I gestured for him to take a seat.

"What can I do for you Josh?" I asked once he was sat down. We barely spoke or saw anything of each other lately. I was either away following leads or he was away following leads as well to capture Nolan. After the war, the vampire death toll was quarter of a million and that was half their population. The council and other supernatural kingdom had to step in with pleads for us to stop our wrath. With them promising to aid our search for Nolan in return.

"I have got a lead as to who were those involved and where Nolan could be hiding. Now I could easily go alone to capture him but I thought it would give you and Marcus some sense of satisfaction knowing you got him with your own hands." My attention span went from a twenty to a hundred as soon as he said that.

"What's the plan and when do we leave?" I asked in a rush. "I cannot wait to kill that bastard."

"No dad, you won't be killing him. And we leave as soon as we come up with a concrete plan."

"Why wouldn't I be killing him?" I asked with my brows knitted together in a frown.

"Mother will get the honours dad. This might just be what she needs for her recovery. She should be given the reign to do what she sees fit after what she's been through. And I would be damned if anyone stops her." He growled.

I thought about it for a couple of seconds and immediately knew he was right. This might be Mira's route to a closure and my chance at getting my mate back. "I agree with your idea son. All we have to do is make sure we bring him back here alive. And then leave the punishment to her." I nodded my head liking the idea even more.

"Now you said something about the involvements of others. Who are they and how do we get to them?" I questioned Josh who now had a look I could only classify as disappointment. "What's wrong Josh? Who are they? Has someone betrayed me?" I asked almost knowing the answers to my questions but with the slightest hope that I might be wrong.
