Thanks everyone for reading so far! I know I put this under romance and it hasn't been very romancy yet, but trust me, it will! :P

PS. I'm so sorry for the varying lengths of the chapters! I get bored sometimes if something exciting is not happening so I just end the chapter! Haha!

Chapter 4

When I got up I went to eat breakfast no one was there except for Rode and I.

“Are you okay?” He asked, obviously talking about me running like a little baby into my room.

“Yea, I think ill be okay.”

I went to the buffet table where all the food was. I got all I need (which isn’t much) and sat in front of Rode.

“The prep team is getting the time that we go down for training.” He said.

“Are you nervous?’’ I asked.

“A bit, as long as no ones allowed to kill me yet, I’m fine.”

I went to the kitchen to get some cranberry juice and went to my room to get dressed. When I came back out they were all there. We had to be downstairs in 10 minutes.

10 minutes later we were all riding in an elevator down the stairs to the -2nd floor.

When we got there a lady in all white greeted us. I saw the scary girl, Demetria, and cowered down.

They gave us a speech and gave each of the districts a section to start out with. District 5 was starting a throw training. Throw training has to deal with spears, knifes. etc. Turns out I’m really good at throwing knifes and Rode can throw a pine stick so hard it turns into a spear. Who knew he could do anything?

At the end of the day we all had to meet up with the group leaders and they told us what we had to do to get in shape for the games. I had to gain at least 3 pounds of muscle and Rode had to gain 10. They had him go to the gym upstairs for 4 more hours before he could come upstairs to eat a bite of food. Poor him!

I went into my room after dinner and thought about what my probable fate was. I know it sounded really weird but I might be starting to have feelings for Rode. He wasn’t just the boy that’s really scrawny anymore. He was nice, thoughtful, and caring. Which are all pretty much synonyms but who cares.

Rode came in and asked me if I wanted to watch another game.

“No, I don’t think so.” I said, chuckling a little bit.

“You know, I’m sure your going to win.”

“Why do you think that?” I said looking up.

“Because if you saw any of the other tributes you would know that they aren’t near as good as you.”

“Thank you! I need to go to bed but ill see you tomorrow.”

“Sure thing.” he said and walked out.

I went to bed wondering how I could have ever thought badly of him.
