Chapter 13

I pulled away.

“Why did you get up to do that? You could’ve gotten hurt.” He said, looking at me.

I rolled my eyes.

“I just kissed you and that’s what you say to me!”

“What was I supposed to say?”

“You could have said I love you.”

“But you already know I do. I didn’t think I needed to say that because I thought you already knew.”

He came and sat next to me.

“You know you could have told me you wanted to kiss me and id come over here so you didn’t have to get up.”

“But its less romantic.”

He laughed. We sat there and I fell asleep. I woke up and I was in the bush and someone was beside me. Rode. Why did he care about me so much? What did I do to deserve him?

He must have sensed that I was awake because a moment later he was talking to me.

“Are you hungry?”

“No, I feel like I’m gaining weight, your feeding me so much.”

“Trust me, your not gaining weight.”

“Can I go on a walk?” I asked.

“Yea of course, But do you want me to go with you?”

“No, I need some air.”

“Okay.” He said smiling.”

I walked outside and It was freezing. I covered up with Rode’s coat. As I walked I got farther and farther away and it got darker and darker.

I walked a bit farther and got really nervous. I can’t remember how to get back. I tried to walk further and got more lost.

I didn’t have any weapons on me so I was really nervous. Every noise I heard I jumped.

I kept telling myself is okay but it wasn’t. I didn’t have food, weapons, or anything to drink. I couldn’t even make a fire. It was really dark now, pitch black. I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face. It kept getting colder and colder.

My mom always told me if I didn’t know where I was to stay where I was so someone could find me. Lets just hope that someone isn’t Demitria. I hadn’t seen her much. Had I seen her in the sky? No, because the girl from district 3 said she heard I had given her a hard time. They must have been alliances. I sat down with hopes Rode would soon find me.
