I walk to my room and lay down on my bed to see a few texts from Chloe

Chloe: hey
Chloe: how you and Jack
Chloe: did you see him today
Me: yes I saw him today. We went ice skating
Me: it's a bit awkward tbh
Chloe: why
Me: because it's not just friends anymore and I've got so used to snapping out of moment because we were just friend that when we have them I always pull back before something happens
Chloe: ohhh. Do you like him
Me: yes I really like him but it just feels weird.
Chloe: I see your point
Me: one second Jack just texted
Chloe: boyfriend comes first I understand stand :( ;)

Jack: thanks for today I had a good time
Me: me too it was fun
Jack: I really like you but I feel like today was a bit awkward
Me: thank god. I was feeling the exact same way
Me:I gotta go Chloe's texting

i opened Chloe's messages.

Me: Chlo! Don't ever say that!
Chloe: Ik! you're the best Jess! you would never do that to me!

"Jess! Come down here please!" My dad yelled from downstairs.

Me: sorry Chlo, dads calling ttyl
Chloe: byeee!❤️

"Hi dad! what's up!" I asked.
"So your mom told me about this new boyfriend of yours." he said.
God Dammit mom!
"Yeah, his name is Jack." I said.
"I would like to meet him." my dad said

"Oh ok when" I say nervously
"Have him come over for dinner tomorrow!"
"Okay I'll call him now!"
I ran upstairs to my room and called jack.
Jack: hello?
me: hey it's me
Jack: hey babe what's up?
me: well my dad wants you to come over for dinner tomorrow
Jack: great I'll be there
me: really your not nervous, you know meeting your girlfriends parents for the first time
Jack: no not really, I'm sure I will love your family!
me: oh right my younger sister Stella will be here too
Jack: great I'm so looking forward to it
me: okay I guess I'll see you then! about 6:00 pm tmrw?
Jack: see you then
