"Is this safe?" Jacob asked as we crawled across the moss-covered rocks in swimsuits. "Yes!" I grumbled as I concentrated on crawling across the rocks, water rushing past. When I couldn't sleep at 4, I woke Jacob up an we went for a little nature walk to my hideout. I smiled as the roar grew louder and louder, Jacob's face full of emotions as mine flooded with rebellious smirks. I slowly lowered my foot to the water, letting it sink into the soft mixture of rocks and mud, a huge pool of nearly clear water before a huge waterfall.
"This is your idea of fun?" Jacob asked, sounding mad. I looked at him, feeling like I let him down. "Because it's a great idea." Jacob smiled, moving into the deeper water next to me. "Ever wanted to be airborne?" I asked. Jacob shrugged. "I've wanted to fly, if that counts." Jacob said. I threw my head back, laughing. "It counts, now come on!" I said, grabbing his hand I pulled him towards the waterfall, the roar growing louder and louder.
"Lets fly." I said to Jacob. I stood up on the rocks that lined the waterfall, and I smiled proudly. "Lets go!" I urged as he crawled out, peering over. "Oh, steeper than I thought." Jacob said. I narrowed my eyes at him, then laughed. How steep could a waterfall be? This wasn't nearly as big! I clutched his hand in mine, then leapt, dragging Jacob into midair with me. We both fell to the water, plummeting faster than you could think. I squealed as I felt the wind rush up my neck, pushing my hair back. I closed my eyes for a split second, feeling the freedom of life. The wind whipped around us as we screamed happily, falling to the water.
We landed with a huge splash, and we came up giggled. We repeated this several times, till we started a hectic game of tag. Jacob was it, and I rushed up the rocks, grasping onto each one as Jacob threatened to tag me. "I've gotta tell you something!" He started hollering at me. "Like I'm going to fall for that trick. Try again Jacob!" I yelled back, finally reaching the top. I crawled through the rocks and through the shallow end, and jumped into the deeper water, finding a rock that lined the edge. I crawled up on it, and Jacob did the same. I backed up cautiously as he inched nearer.
"Erica, seriously. I've gotta tell you something!" Jacob complained. I smirked, then jumped off, flying towards the water. I heard a distant yell of my name, and I was suddenly wrapped up by Jacob, his wet body colliding with mine and his soaked swim trunks sticking to my legs. I gasped, my eyes widening as Jacob's chestnut hair flew into my face, and he crashed his lips into mine. I felt a sense of security, and knowing I was wrapped in Jacob's arms, nothing could go wrong. I felt his strong embrace and his hands holding me close as we plummeted through the air. I knew nothing could go wrong with Jacob, he never failed to make me smile, either. From his adorable laugh to his irresistible smile, I just realized, I had it all. I had the world in my hands.
We landed with a loud splash, and I floated to the surface, my smile enormous and my eyes scanning his red face. He blushed wildly as I sat their speechless, a priceless grin across my wet face. I gave him a crooked smile in response to his romantic kiss, and he laughed, which triggered me to laugh. "Your it." He said after we gazed into each others eyes for a while, then he sped off up towards the top of the waterfall.

We went back around 10 in the morning, my mom dying to know where I was. She knew I was nearby, but she claimed she was very worried. I apologized, and usually when we were at the lake, she was cool with everything as long as we were safe, and not doing anything bad or life-threatening, like swimming under a boat, or leaving someone stranded in the middle of the lake. I glanced outside the window as I wolfed down my delicious morning pancakes, and my mom cooked some more food for breakfast. Ryan came downstairs in sweatpants and a t-shirt, his hair all over the place. "Good morning, Ry." My mother said in a delicate voice. Ryan mumbled something no one could hear, even if you were literally just across the table from him.
I watched the water rush up to the shore, the lovely morning sun reflecting off the water's surface. The lake was very clean, and not green and full of algae. It was perfect for Polaroid photo's, which I usually added to my wall in my hangout room every time before we left. I had tons just up there. Pictures of us tubing and barbecue's, and the time we saw the aurora's from our house. 4th of July fireworks and me hanging out with friends. Recently, the newest ones were us when we came over the winter. We had the holidays here, and we saw eagles on the frozen lake, so I took some pictures of that and such. It was a really fun time with my cousins, so we took a few selfies.
I grabbed my Polaroid and snapped a picture of the lake this morning, and then put the picture somewhere safe. Gray came down and asked if we wanted to tube later, and of course we agreed to that. Jacob and I got in our swimsuits again, and what always happened was we just stayed in our swimsuits all day. The diner down by the beach on the other side of the lake had 'boat parking' on the lake and allowed you to come inside in your swimsuit, which was nice because right after tubing we could go each lunch or something.
I walked outside, feeling the hot sun already beating down on us. "Don't you love summer?" I questioned, exhaling the summer air. I watched as birds fluttered back and forth between trees, and I soaked in the sun. "Yep." Jacob said, petting Shay. I smiled and grabbed his hand, leading him down the dock as Shay proudly trotted beside us. I sat on the bench and pointed out things on the lake. The diner, some of my friend's houses, etc. I already saw it in his eyes, he loved it.
