Just as I'm getting into the show there's a knock at my door. Who the hell could this be other than Grandpa Edward? I roll out of my bed and stalk towards the door. I open the door and Jacob is standing there. I don't say anything, I just stand there and give him a what-do-you-want look.

"I wanna talk." he says.

Talk? About what?

"About?" I ask confused. "You."

Me? Why the hell does he wanna talk about me? Ok, let me take a deep breath and just be nice.

I smile a little and let him inside of my room. He walks over to my bed and sit down. I close the door behind me and sit next to Jacob.

"Ok. So why do you wanna talk about me?" I ask in the most nice possible way.

"I just wanna get to know you better. That's all." he says.

"What do you want to know?"

"Tell me about yourself." Jacob says.

"Hold on." I paused. "Before we even get into this whole conversation how old are you?"

"I'm fourteen."

"And you're talking like you're my age."

"Lets just say that I matured at a very young age." he says.

"Well that explains a lot." I said sarcastically.

I don't get how he went from being shy for the past two days I've been here and now he's talking like a damn psychiatrist.

"But anyways...I'm sixteen, I guess I'm from Texas, at least that's what my father told me. Uh, I love to read and eat. So yeah that's basically it. Nothing interesting." I shrugged.

"Why do you call the man who kidnapped you your father. He's not your father." Jacob says.

Is he talking to me? Know what-- let me just calm down before I hurt his feelings.

"I know it sounds crazy to call him my father but no disrespect you don't know the story behind why I still call him my father."

"I want to understand why you still call him your father. So can you please tell me?"

Before I can explain the whole story to him I take a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair. Here it goes as I breathe steady.

"So this is what I'm told by Aaron, my father. He said when I was about two or so I was abandoned out in the woods. On that same night my father was out there and he heard me crying. He listened closely to where the cries were coming from. I was in a car and it was slowly sinking into a lake. He jumped in and saved me before I drowned. He then took me back to surface and I managed to stop crying as he held me. Aaron dried me off before I caught a cold and wrapped me in some warm clothes. He says he searched the whole woods to find my mother but he didn't find her. She was long gone. And after that he just took me in as his own. So yeah he technically didn't kidnap me." I explain.

I looked over at Jacob and his face is covered in awe. Its not really a interesting story but if it is to him then I guess it is. His lips formed into a small smile and he gives me an unexpected hug.

"That's crazy and cool at the same time." Jacob says.

"Umm..I guess." I say sounding unsure what to say.

"Sometimes for the summer our mom sends me here to spend time with Grandpa Edward and Grandma Evelyn. She pops up from time to time. Grandpa Edward said she's going to be here in two days. So you'll finally be able to meet her."
