I haven't been out of my room since Grandpa Edward left out of here. I've just been trying to get used to this new move and everything.
There was a knock at my door and I got up from my bed to open it. I opened the door and it revealed my brother Jacob. He still had a nervous look on his face. I stood there waiting for him to speak. We both stood there for a few seconds staring at each other.
"Uh I-I came to tell y-you that dinner is ready." he stutters.
I nod and quickly grabbed my phone off the bed then followed him downstairs to the kitchen. When we entered the kitchen our plates were already set out on the table. It smelled and looked very delicious. I sat down next to Jacob while Grandma Evelyn and Grandpa Edward sat at the head of the table.
We all said a quick prayer then began eating. Everyone ate in silence for a few minutes until Grandpa Edward broke the silence.
"Ava I'm going to take you out tomorrow with me to police headquarters. I have a few questions to ask you." he tells me.
I know I said I wouldn't talk to him until I see Aaron but I've been dying to ask him this question ever since I left the hospital.
"Will I be able to go see my father?" I asked him.
I can care less about him asking me questions. Fuck those questions. All I want is, to see Aaron. That's it.
"I'll see what I can do."
I nod but I'm cussing inside of my head at him. He's going to do more than just 'see what he can do.' This is not a game and I don't have time to play.
"Well it was nice to hear your voice." Grandma Evelyn smiles. "Its very lovely."
"Thanks." I mumbled.
For the rest of dinner nobody else says a word which I'm glad no one does. Right after I finished eating I went back upstairs to my room and locked the door behind me. I plopped down on my bed and stared up at the ceiling. A lot of stuff is going on through my mind right now. I just want to go back home and forget that this ever happened.
Around 10:30 I got ready to take a shower and get in the bed. Today was just too much for me. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed a wash cloth and drying towel off the rack. I turned the shower on and waited for the water to heat up. As the water heated up I stripped off my clothes.
The water finally heated up after a few seconds and I hopped inside. I let the warm water run over my body. It felt really good. My back was a little sore from sleeping on that hospital bed. It wasn't as comfortable as it looked but I still managed to sleep.
I stayed in the shower for about thirty minutes. When I got out I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my small figure. I quickly dried myself off and threw my pajamas on. I didn't feel like drying my hair tonight so I kept it wet and put it in a bun.
Stepping over the threshold to my room, I walked over to my bed and laid down. Today was just a long day. I'm tired and I need to sleep this pain off. After plugging my phone up to let it charge I slowly drifted off to sleep.

In the morning I woke up to someone loudly, knocking on my door. I groaned at the sound and dragged myself out of bed. I walked over to the door and opened it. Grandpa Edward was standing there with his work clothes on and a coffee cup in his hands. I can't believe he's literally waking me up at this time of the morning.
"Time to get up and get ready for the day." he says sipping his coffee. "Be ready in thirty minutes."
I yawned and closed the door. I picked out a gray shirt with light blue jeans and sandals. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix the nest on top of my head.
