So I was in McDonald yesterday, and I saw a pair of old couple sitting next to me.

The old woman asked her husband what he wanted for lunch, and he answered, “Whatever you think is good hun, you’ve been ordering my lunch for the past decades.” And he pulled a huge sweet smile on his face, just like a baby first tasted candy. She nodded and just walked away.

Then the old man was left there and he kept his eyes locked on the back of his wife. He suddenly giggled and seems thinking of some evil plan.

When she is back, he immediately stood up and pulled the chair for her.

“What are you doing? Sit down.” She laughed and said.

“Let me do that, you’re a lady and lady deserves a gentleman.” He said.

“You’re really nice…”

They shared a meal. The old man cut the hamburger into half so his wife can have some; the old lady pour some of the hot coffee into another small cup so her husband can have some. I remember when the old lady pour the coffee, some of it went straight to the table because her hands were shaking. But everything they did seems so usual, it’s like they do that every single day.

Then he saw me and asked, “Hello? Can I help you?”

“Ugh, may I ask how long have you two been together?”

“Well, it’s been 50 years…” then he held her hand, and continued, “and I still fall for her every day.” She smiled, and his heart just melts.
