DeAnna had just finished writing the apology letter and decided to have Edward proofread it. Edward read it through very thoroughly then he smiled as he praised, "That was very nice of you, DeAnna. Thank you so much for serving your correction obediently. I'm so proud of you." DeAnna smiled really big as she blushed then she kissed Edward's cheek. This was a first time she had ever done this to a boy, but it really took Edward by surprise. Edward exclaimed, "That was so sweet of you, DeAnna! Are you trying to show that you like me?" DeAnna giggled playfully and she answered, "I am not telling you just yet!" Edward nodded as Alphonse commented, "It looks like she is finally gaining confidence in being around you and you are a boy, Edward." Then Edward gave Alphonse a thumb up and smiled. DeAnna asked, "Is my punishment over?" Edward answered, "Yes. But your training for today was never really conclusive so I'd like to try a different approach with teaching you right from wrong."
Then DeAnna was instructed to stay indoors while Alphonse would get Edward prepared for a bit of practice. After a few minutes, Alphonse gave DeAnna the ok to go outdoors. Alphonse explained, "The first method we are going to try is practicing social skills and the second method will be bullying. Edward wants to see which one you most represent regardless if it's being a friend or being a bully." DeAnna asked, "Why?" Alphonse told her, "You were very friendly at first, but then you went on the attack this morning so we want to get a good view of what personality we are working with and we'll go from there." DeAnna nodded then she saw Edward moaning on a bench and acting weak. Edward moaned, "Please help me, young lady. I am very hungry and nobody will feed me. I'm wasting away to nothing. Please, I beg you!" DeAnna was very hesitant because she was not used to seeing Edward like this so it made her uncomfortable. Alphonse encouraged, "You can do it, DeAnna! Just be strong!" DeAnna slowly walked up to Edward and asked, "Can I help you?" Edward seemed a bit unimpressed by her response so he tried to play along as he replied, "Please, I need some food." DeAnna checked her basket and she asked, "Would you like a peanut butter sandwich or a tuna sandwich?" Edward answered, "I haven't had tuna in years! Please, may I have the tuna sandwich?" So DeAnna gave it to him as she said, "Here you go! I can't just let you go hungry so I want to help you." Then she got out a pitcher of lemonade and Alphonse ran indoors to grab a couple of cups. DeAnna exclaimed, "You look very thirsty. Would you like some lemonade?" Edward answered, "Thank you. You are such a nice young lady, you know that? You're a real friend." DeAnna smiled as they ate together then she asked if Edward was going to be ok. Edward insisted all would be fine so DeAnna wished him good luck. Alphonse was shocked as he praised, "You did it, DeAnna! You saved Edward! Now let's try this from a different approach except for with bullying and I want to see if you would ever use your alchemy on your own friend."
DeAnna looked low to the ground and replied, "I can't. I don't have it in me to hurt Edward because he has been so kind to me." Edward heard what DeAnna had told Alphonse and asked, "Could what I suspect be true? That you refuse to attack me, even in a practice scenario?" DeAnna had told him, "Yes. You are my mighty protector and a young princess should never turn against somebody that is trying to help her. I'm sorry, Alphonse, but I cannot follow through with the second part." Edward had tears in his eyes and began crying happy tears. He got emotional as he cried, "My DeAnna is learning to be a good princess! I'm so happy! This just made my experience with training you that much more rewarding, DeAnna." So Alphonse and DeAnna were speechless at Edward's reaction as DeAnna approached him, but there was a sudden sparkle of light. Edward and Alphonse were confused so Alphonse asked, "What is going on?" DeAnna twirled around as a light gust appeared in the air and it was filled with sweet-scented powder that was so relaxing. Edward took a sniff of the powder and it made him calm down, but it made him feel very cheerful. Alphonse thought to himself, "Could this be one of DeAnna's many blessings that the legend spoke of in my book? That she has the ability to use alchemy with spinning around that creates a light effect to make other people that are in tears to become cheerful? If this is indeed one of DeAnna's blessings, it means that her love for my big brother has increased. She is already showing signs of her affection towards my big brother, even if she doesn't have the courage to confess her love yet. Who knows? I guess it's just a 'wait and see' thing on who confesses first." Edward smiled as he patted DeAnna's head and praised, "You are such a good butterfly princess! It's getting cold right now so come on in and I will bake a cake to honor that you are becoming a successful student of mine." DeAnna cheerfully skipped her way indoors with Alphonse to soon follow, but Zoe the chimera followed all three of them since she didn't want to be left alone.
