Chapter 11: Little Eddy

     DeAnna had just sat down for breakfast when her waffles with strawberries and bananas were being served.  Alphonse asked, "What would you like to drink, DeAnna?  Milk?  Juice?  Tea?"  DeAnna immediately replied, "Anything except milk!  That stuff is so gross!"  Edward looked at his new girlfriend and added, "That makes two of us.  But DeAnna, please mind your manners."  So DeAnna sighed, "Yes, Edward.  I'm sorry, Alphonse.  I will take some juice, please and thank you."  Edward smiled, "That's my girl!"  Alphonse asked, "Why don't you get over yourself and teach your girlfriend to like milk?  You do want her to grow into a strong butterfly princess, right?"  Edward nodded then he answered, "But I hate milk!"  Alphonse frowned, "You do care about your girlfriend, don't you?"   Edward said, "More than anything."  Then Alphonse handed a small bottle of milk to Edward after serving juice to DeAnna.  Alphonse instructed, "Now drink it up, brother!"  Edward looked at the small bottle of milk then he started sweating and he gulped out of nervousness.  His hand was shaky as he lifted the small bottle of milk up to his mouth and took a sip.  Alphonse immediately snapped a picture with his camera then he said to himself quietly, "Wait until Winry sees this!"  

      Edward gagged as he held on to his stomach and fell off of his chair.  DeAnna screamed, "Oh, no!   Poor Edward!  Are you going to be ok?"  He replied, "I think I need to take a trip to the toilet."  DeAnna blushed as she told him, "Please take your time."  After 5 minutes later, Edward exited the restroom and asked DeAnna, "Where do you want to go for our first official date?"  DeAnna answered, "I would like to go to a burger restaurant that I'm very fond of then I want to shop at the toy store, if it's not a problem for you."  Edward nodded then he asked, "What do you want from the toy store?"  DeAnna explained, "I lost a teddy bear when I was a child and his name was Little Eddy.  He had a blue and yellow ribbon around his neck, but he was my friend when I was really young.   I miss him so much!" Then her boyfriend agreed as he told her, "I think we can find your wandering teddy bear if we look hard enough together."  DeAnna excitedly shouted, "Thank you so much, Edward!"  

       Then she went to take a shower and put a new dress with sparkles that also had pink roses on it.   She also brushed her hair, brushed her teeth, and put some fresh deodorant on.  She exited the restroom as Alphonse announced, "Your lady awaits, brother!"  Edward complimented, "You look very pretty.  Now let's go on that date of ours, ok?"  DeAnna blushed as she held his hand and they walked together to the burger restaurant of her choice.  They entered then Edward asked, "What would you like to eat, my lady?"  DeAnna ordered nervously, "I....um....I'd like a mushroom Swiss burger with no onions and a medium lemonade, please."  Then Edward added, "I would like a hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, and mustard with a medium cola on the side, please."  Edward was concerned if his new girlfriend was ok, but she explained that the person at the counter was a guy so it was hard for her to order.  Edward winked, "I think you did a good job, to be honest.  Good girl!"  Then their food was ready so Edward paid for both meals then they sat down and talked while they ate their lunch together.  

      After they were done eating, they both headed over to the toy store.  They had looked through every shelf and DeAnna got discouraged.  She said sadly, "I guess you really are gone."  Edward asked as he pointed to a high shelf in the toy store, "Does this one look familiar?"  DeAnna shouted excitedly, "It's him!  That looks exactly like my Little Eddy!  Thank you, Edward!" Then she hovered upwards while flapping her butterfly wings and she grabbed the teddy bear from the top shelf.    Edward paid for the teddy bear and told his girlfriend, "I am so happy that you got to reunite with your long lost bear."  DeAnna smiled, "It looks just like him!  He even has a blue and yellow ribbon like how I remembered."  Then they approached home and DeAnna kissed Edward on the cheek as she complimented, "You are the best boyfriend ever! I love you, Edward!" So she went into her bedroom and took a nap with her teddy bear under her arms as she slept.
