PART 3
♦ 1100 ♦"Wait, so let me get this straight. You've met a guy who, helped you from falling but accused him of flirting with you? Where's the part where you meet Percy? Or me, come to think about it. I was in the club at the same time.... Wait, you're the girl he was dancing on the floor with!"
Tory had stood up out of his chair with the sudden revelation. How was he so stupid? It was right in front of him! The answer he had been looking for since Primo got sent to prison. One day he was there, the next he was gone. And the worst thing was that he didn't even get told why.
"Calm down, will you? I'm getting there! There's no point in me missing out bits in the story. And then you'll understand why Primo's in prison." Xalia slightly tilted her head and said under her breath , "At least he was."
"Wait-"
"Stop saying wait and just say it!"
They both stopped and looked at each other. In the heat of the moment, they had gotten comfortably close. They didn't even notice how little the space was between them, no , they just sat down again. Tory in his chair behind the desk and Xalia on his desk, leaning ever so slightly towards him.
"He's out?"
Xalia looked down and looked up quickly to respond when her phone vibrated. She had a message. It was Percy.
"Back with the goodies. Come down to the ground floor to talk.", Xalia read aloud.
Tory groaned. He needed to know what happened and why Primo was in prison. Why Percy was such a recluse and why she mentioned that he was out. Since when? He needed answers and he couldn't get it with Percy in the room.
"Give me your phone." Tory said, demanded of Xalia.
She just looked at him like, we've been over this. Tory just rolled his eyes. It wasn't the time.
"S'il vous plaît?"
Xalia did a little eyebrow raise that she thought he didn't notice but he did. She handed the phone over to him and he rang Percy from her phone.
"Xalia, I'm sorry for what I did in the elevator. I'm so glad you picked up your phone so we can discuss-"
"I'm sorry Percy but I need a favor and I can't seem to find my phone."
Both Tory and Xalia looked down at his phone on the desk and they both reached out at the same time to switch it off. In the rush, it dropped on the floor. Xalia put out a hand to stop Tory from getting it and to just continue on the phone whilst she switched his off.
"What was that?"
"Oh nothing. I'm still looking for my phone, I think it's dead."
"Okay." Percy didn't necessarily think that it was dead but Tory couldn't care less what he thought at the moment. He needed to know. "Hey, I was thinking. I need one of my special suits because I'm taking someone out. You know where?"
Tory heard him sigh through the phone."That's a distance away, isn't it? Alright, I'll be back, latest an hour. Also, tell Xalia to call me back? And to you, don't forget to do the punishment. I don't forget."
With that, he cut off the phone. Tory stretched out his arms and put his head there whilst exhaling loudly. He sharply looked at Xalia, who was already staring at him weirdly.
What was he looking at? She asked herself but couldn't bring herself to ask him. Interrupting her thoughts, he stood up from behind his desk and began taking off his shirt and tie, multitasking. Once he had taken them off, he took off his shoes and socks then dropped to the floor.
"I've given you an extra hour to explain everything. Make it count."
When she didn't respond, Tory looked up and saw her staring at him confused. Oh, he didn't explain why he had to do this.
"I was tardy. Tardy is not becoming of the CEO so instead of taking days off my holidays, I do 100 press ups and 1000 hops on one leg. Now stop staring at me and continue with the story!"
