"Niall!" I shouted as I ran to my brother in the airport.
He ran towards me, pulling his luggage behind him.
"Nikki!" He exclaimed.
He dropped his bags to the ground & wrapped his arms around me.
"I missed you bubby," I spoke in tears, my voice shaky.
"I missed you more baby sis!"
I smiled as his arms tightened around my small body.
I hadn't talked to him for six months & was happy just to see him. He was only my half brother though. It didn't matter to me, he was still my brother & still family.
He was the only sibling I had & even though he had a brother, Niall & I were as close as could be. It helped that we only had a three year age difference.
My mom & his dad haven't had the best relationship since Niall was first born. They hated each other since then & have tried their best to forbid Niall & I from having any contact with one another.
I used to live a few houses down from Niall in Ireland until my mom & I moved to the states. Worst six months of my life. I had the idea of living with Niall instead of moving, it sounded like a stellar plan at first. Then we realized I couldn't stay with him because I was only fifteen & my mom was my legal guardian so I had to go with her as she forced me.
I had no contact with my brother for half a year. Before I left he gave me a piece of paper giving me a time, date, & airport to meet him at. He informed me that once he turned eighteen he'd save enough money to fly to the states to see me. This was that time, date, & airport.
"Baby sis, I can't believe how much older you look."
I smiled at his words & helped him with his bags. He followed me to a cab that was waiting outside for the two of us.
As we put the bags into the trunk of the cab, he asked, "How'd you get Christen to say yes?"
"My mom? Oh, it's easy, I just didn't tell her. She thinks I'm at a friends house for a weekend but instead I'll be with you big bro."
He smiled & playfully punched my arm then opened the back door to the cab.
"Come on, kiddo. Let's get going."
I smiled & got in the cab along with him.

"Come on, Nikki. It's not that scary," Niall tried to ease me in a non convincing voice.
"Ni, I'm not a fan of rides that spin like this," I frowned.
Niall gave me a look as he rolled his eyes. He took out eight tickets for the both of us as he pushed me to the line.
"Please sis, I promise it's not that scary."
"Promise?" I asked.
"Promise."
"Yeah," I shrugged, "I guess I'll go on."
"Yeah buddy!" Niall cheered.
We were the first in line waiting for our turn. I watched as the ride began to spin the cages around then sideways, upside down, every which way.
I felt my stomach turn over as I heard the loud screams. I was about to make a run for it when I said, "Um, Ni, I think I'm going to go-"
Before I could protest anymore, Niall grabbed my wrist & pulled me back in line.
