Mel: I honestly didn't know how to ask you; personal message or in the comments.

So I read your books about a girl's guide to relationships and I have my own senario that I'm having a little trouble with.So there's this kid at school that I'm good friends with; we have some things in common, we make each other laugh, we have some conversations to the point where we get distracted from our yearbook class. I don't know how it started, but I just started to get nervous around him— like feeling butterflies. So. Many. Butterflies. I didn't really think anything of it until it got a little worse. Now I know that I have a crush on him. So, I only told one person (let's call her Lisa) about it and she didn't tell anyone, but my one friend (let's call her Cathrine) figured out that I have a crush on him because I never told her. Cathrine and my other friend (let's call her Lily) kinda teased me about it jokingly and then my crush's brother found out about it, and he jokingly (without realizing it) guessed that I have a crush on the person. So now he knows, and I'm scared that my crush knows that I like him because (get ready for the most cliché moment of all times) I'm scared it could ruin our friendship. What do I do?I apoligize in advance since this is a lot. I just need some advice.

Me: Well. When did he (maybe) figure out you liked him? And is he still acting the same towards you after (maybe) finding out?

Mel: I'm honestly not sure if he knows that I like him. I'm off of school for winter break as of right now, but I go back to school in 3 days, so I'll see if he still acts the same towards me in class and during lunch

Me: Yeah! First you have to find out, secretively though, if he actually knows. Try not to be to obvious with it. Then when that happens tell me how he acts then I'l know exactly what you should do. do you talk to him over break?

Mel: I wish I was able to, but I'm not able to because he doesn't have a phone. Both him and his brother each have an iPod, but they're unable to text people

Me: oh, that sucks. No Social media sites?

Mel: No. I've asked about it before and he said that he doesn't have any. His mom is strict on that type of stuff.

Me: Oh, =P I get it. Mine too, but I'm sneaky, haha. Well you have 3 days to prepare yourself then!

Mel: Yeah. I think I'll be fine around him in 3 days :)

Me: Okay! Good luck. You've got this!

Mel's follow up:

So my crush found out that I like him, and we're still friends. One of my most trusted friends told him for me (because I was too scared to do it myself) and my friend told me what happened. My crush was surprised, and a couple days later, another one of my friends asked my crush if he liked me. My crush answered back saying 50/50 leaning towards yes. I think everything is going to fine :)
