Awkward hand motions? Shaking? Hiding? All of the above?! Okay. Let me help you out.
Of course we all know how anxious we get standing there, talking to our crush in one of those unusual, rare moments. Let's just put it out there. We look like idiots. Lol. Let's stop that, okay?
First of all, it's all about the mindset. If he approaches you and you instantly start thinking you're gonna freak out, more than likely, you're gonna freak out. As he's/she's approaching you, if you notice it you should:
> Accept the fact he/she is approaching you lol.
> Realize you're going to have to have a conversation in a moment.
> Breathe deeply before he/she gets there.
> Pretend he's/she's one of your bestfriends, you've known him for years! No big deal, right!
Now let's get to the harder stuff.
Some people talk in handmotions, most girls I know.
It looks totally sane when you're confident and prepared right? But it's him/her. To be honest, this one's just a habit so I'd recommend grabbing something to hold, like a binder, so you won't be able to move your arms as much.
Shaking. I shake like hell when I'm anxious/nervous, you might too. A good way to stop this is:
> Keep your breathing steady
> Totally trick your brain into thinking this a whole different situation. (Imaging your bestfriend, thinking about something you have to do later.)
> Admit to him/her that you're nervous. (For the more daring & ready to confess.)
They don't lie when they say "Eye contact is key."
Literally, if you give someone eye contact they're more likely to feel wanted by you. Eye contact makes a person feel:
> Welcomed/Invited
> As though you are/could be friends because you're not irritated by them.
So make sure you have eye contact with your crush. & If eye contact makes you nervous think of these fun sayings:
> A person's eyes dilate when they like you, so notice if they're dilating!
> Fall in love with a person's eyes, so as they age, you'll still be in love!
lol,
