Chapter 9- Merida's Job.

Merida woke up because of the sun hitting her face, she looked at her clock and it read: 6:29.

She stood up and went to the bathroom to get a bath then to get ready for her part-time job at 'The Seven Dwarfs Cafe' that is owned by an old but beautiful lady named Snow White.

She dressed into her uniform, a red polo shirt, white stockings, blue pencil skirt and black doll shoes. Now normally Merida would cringe and throw away this kind of outfit but she really needed this job so she can pay for her own tuition, even though they're filthy rich because of her Mom's job as a spy and a professor at an elite university at the city that pays great she still wants to earn her own money by her own. At first her Mom disagreed but eventually gave up since Merida is responsible enough to handle her own.

She just wore a red jacket to cover her skin and because it was raining, she tied her hair into a messy bun, her stockings were thick enough to cover her bruises on her legs.

She took her phone and back pack with her spare clothes and umbrella then went down stairs, she saw everyone eating breakfast which is bacon, eggs and orange juice. She took a seat next to Mulan and started to eat too.

Everyone was looking at her except for her Mom since she was busy talking to someone on the phone. Merida raised her left brow while chewing.

"What?"

Rapunzel snapped back to reality then cleared her throat. "Where are you going, Mer? It's Saturday"

Merida swallowed first before answering. "Work." She simply answered.

She finished the rest of her food, washed her plate, kissed her Mom goodbye then went out of the house.

Rapunzel stared at where Merida sat a few moments ago. She looked at the others and smirked.

"You guys think what I'm thinking?" She asked, the others smirked back and they all nodded, they finished their food quickly almost choking on the process then quickly changed their clothes. Before they left they asked where Merida was working to her Mom.

"Seven Dwarfs Cafe"

Astrid thanked her then they used Punzie's car to get to the Seven Dwarfs Cafe.

The bell dinged, signalling someone came inside the small little cafe owned by Mrs. Snow.

The old lady smiled kindly at her employee, she stopped mopping the floor and greeted Merida.

"Oh, good morning dearie"

Merida closed her umbrella then flashed her a small smile before greeting her. "Good morning!"

Mrs. Snow nodded then resumed mopping she coughed a little making Merida a little worried. She walked towards the old lady then gently took the mop.

"Why don't you go home miss? I'll take over here for a while, take the rest of the day to relax and have some quality time with your husband?" Merida said

Snow White smiled and nodded, she grabbed her cloak, purse, and umbrella then went out of the cafe. Merida continued mopping the floor then when she was done she prepared the tables, pastries, the menu, the drinks etc.

Merida was now putting on the table cloths when the door opened.

"I'm sorry but I'm we're not ope- Guys! What're you doing here?" Merida exclaimed as her friends walked in smiling.

"We!" Rapunzel said as she pointed herself and the others. "Followed you here, and now we're going to help you"

They each took separate table cloths then did what Merida did. She sent them a appreciative nod. When they were done, Merida gave each of them a cake.

"Mrs. Snow was delighted when I told her about you guys helping me out, she also told me to give you these cakes as a sign of her thanks"  Merida said as she placed the cakes in front of them.

"Thanks!" Ruffnut happily said then all them took a bite.

"Mmmm! This is good! Who made this? Oh god, forget about diet, I love this!" Rapunzel squealed taking another bite.

Merida blushed then looked away. "I-I did."

"This is great, Mer!" Mulan commented.

"Thanks." Merida smiled then went back to the kitchen to check on the other pastries if they were already cooked.

Slowly more customers began to fill in the whole cafe. Astrid suggested they can help Mer, which she agreed since she can't handle all of this by herself.

It was now noon there weren't much people now so Merida decided to have a little fun, she plugged on her phone on the speaker then played her favorite song, Fight Song.

"Like a small boat, on the ocean...

Sending big waves into motion,
like how single word can make a heart open.

I might only have one match...

But I can make an explosion..."

Merida unconsciously sang along while wiping the plates.
She didn't notice that the door opened then a couple with almost identical white hair with a brown lad came in.
"And all those words that I say,
Wrecking balls inside my brain

I will scream 'em loud tonight!
Can you hear my voice this time?
This is my fight song! Take back my life song!

And I don't really care if nobody else believes...
'Cause I've got a lot of fight left in me...

When the song ended, Merida heard clapping. She looked up and saw all of the customers were smiling and clapping, some were even taking a video of her! Punzie was cheering.

"Whooo!!! You go, Mer!" Astrid cheered.

Merida blushed bright red like her hair. She smiled shyly and scratched her neck.

"Ahahaha... Thank you" Merida said embarrassed.

"Way the go, Mer!!!" A boy yelled. Merida looked at the guy and saw the same green eyes from yesterday.

She was shocked at first but laughed and sent him a wink. Hiccup gave her a thumbs up, She looked at his left and her face contorted into a horrified look.

(A/N: just in case you got confused with the weather, when Merida woke up it was still sunny then it started to rain when she was preparing for work then on noon the rain stopped. I'm sorry if you got confused because I actually didn't check this chapter when I posted it).
