After the vet clearance, Tama and Nika needed to practice going over some of the jumps. They decided to do the ones towards the beginning of the race seeings how that would be were most people would likely be when they started and then finished. They wanted to make that area look the absolute best.
Tama brought Nika back to the stall and put her tack on. But she forgot the kick boots and by the time she remembered they had already started doing a bit of the course. Nika didn't mind. She could easily clear these. It was the ones farther out that worried Tama. She's seen the blue roan winged horse to this next jump. It was jump number 4. Nika had never jumped anything like it so Tama prepared for a spook. To her surprise, Nika jumped it. Now Tama knew they could do it.
