3 weeks. 3 weeks, 13 missed calls and 9 unread text messages. It was clear I had been avoiding Harry since the incident at his house. I wasn't going to lie, it was hard not talking to him but this was one thing I wanted to stay stubborn about.

I had kept myself occupied by getting a job at a coffee shop after school. It kept my mind off of what happen and prevented me from contacting him. Even though I came home exhausted and smelling like raw coffee beans, it was worth it.

"Go home, dear. I'll close up tonight." My boss, Rylie said noticing my obvious exhaustion.

"Are you sure?" I asked, grabbing my bag and heading for the door.

She laughed. "Go. You've had a rough week."

I smiled appreciatively. "Thanks."

"Be careful out there, Lyss. It kills me that you're walking home this late. You really should get your car fixed."

"And you really should give me a raise."

"Don't push it." She smiled

I laughed. "See you tomorrow."

With that I walked out and headed toward my house. The back streets I had to talk to get home were secluded and eerie. They were dark with only a handful of full of dull street lights lining the cement sidewalk. Only a few cars passed and the houses along the road were dark and abandoned.

I kept my head down as I briskly walked through the streets, eager to get home, when I felt someone watching me. Hesitantly, I turned around to see a tall figure with a gray hood covering his head walking behind me. In the dark light I couldn't make out any of his facial features which made me nervous.

I turned back around, picking up my pace. When I heard the stranger behind me pick up his, I ran.

I took an unknown turn down a gravel road and found myself trapped in a gated alley. Perfect.

I panicked when I saw the figure turn around the corner and slow his pace down, walking to me. Looking at the fence separating me from safety, i didn't find any other option, so I climbed. He took his time walking to me as I struggled finding slots to place my feet and hands. When I felt two strong hands grab my waist I kicked, yelling. "Let me go!"

My feet hit the ground and I was slammed into the fence behind me.

"Calm down, princess. It's just me." A familiar raspy voice whispered, instantly calming me down.

I sighed looking into the perfect green eyes above me. "What the hell is wrong with you? You scared me half to death!"

"I wanted to talk to you." Harry whispered.

"And the logical way to do that was to chase me into an alley?"

"Hey love, you're the one who started running."

"I'm sorry that when a strange man is following me I don't just let him have his way with me."

"I'm sorry you don't let me have my way with you either." He winked.

I stayed silent, watching him. "What did you want harry?"

He stared at me and brushed a wavy strand of hair behind my ear. "You know, you shouldn't be walking these streets alone at night."

I shrugged.

There was silence for a while before he spoke again. "You never answered my calls or texts."

I looked down.

Grabbing my chin, Harry lifted my face up to look at him. "You know I didn't mean any of that stuff I said. I feel so terrible."
