Andy’s P.O.V

‘Has anyone seen SJ?’  I turned to see a worried looking Ashley.

 ‘No…’ I said. ‘Why?’

‘Cause I haven’t seen her for half an hour.’ Ashley gently chewed the inside of his lip.

‘Alex, have you nicked my blade for my hair!?’ I suddenly heard Blade yelling around.

‘Why do always accuse me?!’ Alex shouted back.

‘Cause you’re the one who uses it to cut gashes in your jeans!’ Raven called.

‘GUYS! Where’s SJ!’ Ashley yelled.

‘Huh? We don't know.’ Shrugged Alex.

‘I think I saw her go to the bathroom.’ Said Blade.

‘She’s been there for half an hour…’ Jinxx, who was next to me, mulled.

Them his eyes suddenly widened.

‘S-S-Sammi!’ he choked. ‘Can you go check the ladies for Punky Princess?’

Sammi nodded, and nipped in.

Five seconds later, she came out, face pale.

‘Jinxx, there’s a stall shut, and I can see blood tricking out…’ she whispered.

I felt my heart freeze. Both me, Ashley and Jinxx flew in, regardless of the fact it was the ladies. We soon found the one that Sammi said. And like she had said, I could see a small trickle of blood seeping out.

‘Is this it?’ I asked, almost praying my eyes were playing tricks on me.

‘I really don't want to look and check…’ Jinxx murmured, looking paler than normal.

‘Shut up and just break it down!’ Ashley had began to throw himself against the stall door.

I looked at Jinxx, before we both slammed our shoulders against it.

With a loud banging noise it flew open, and I looked, my eyes wide.

SJ was there on the floor, blood seeping down her arms from large gashes.

‘Oh god, oh god..’ Ashley rushed forward, and scooped her up in his arms. Jinxx’s face crumpled, and as Ashley carried her out, he turned to me as we followed.

Why Andy, I just don’t understand. She was clean for so long, why would she suddenly do this…’ he whispered.

I thought, before something clicked into place.

‘Kieran had gone out to buy her Jaffa Cakes…’ I began. ‘If he hadn’t of left, then this wouldn’t of happened. She blames herself Jinxx, for the way Kieran is.’

I felt my stomach twist.

‘She blames herself…’ Jinxx repeated.

Tears formed at his eyes, and then, for that moment, I saw the Jinxxie that SJ saw whenever she looked at him. The Jinxxie that she adored and looked up to like a brother, the Jinxxie that she had known all those years ago, the Jinxxie that had hugged her outside the concert when she was 13 and still under her parents terror. Her Jinxxie.

And when I looked at SJ, cradled in Ashley’s arms, I saw the Punky Princess that he saw. The little Punky Princess that ran back to him after being scared on Halloween, the Punky Princess that he loved like a little sister, the Punky Princess he twirled round when she was three, the one that he had hugged tight at thirteen with all the bruises, the Punky Princess that he swore to protect. His Punky Princess.

‘Jinxx…’ I rested a hand on his shoulder. ‘She’ll be ok. Your Punky Princess has fought for so long. I doubt she’ll give in yet.’

Jinxx ran his hand through his hair. ‘I hope so.’

‘Well, she’s had to have stitches but she should come round. Fortunately, she hadn’t lost too much blood that she needed a transplant.’ The doctor looked at us. ’Can you think of anything that might of brought this on?’

We were all silent. Then, I spoke up.

‘Her friend has recently been admitted, and is in a coma, after a car accident. She blames herself for it.’

Ashley shot me a wide-eyed glance, and the doctor stroked his beard.

‘That would trigger it.' he murmured, glancing at her stitched up cuts. 'I have given her a shot of Demerol. It should help with the healing process.’

Ashley nodded, and the Doctor made to leave.

What do you mean she blames herself?’ Ashley asked as soon as he was out the room.

CC, who had not said a word throughout the whole thing, looked up from where he was clutching SJ’s hand.

‘Kieran had gone out to buy her Jaffa Cakes…’ I explained. ‘If he hadn’t of left, then this wouldn’t of happened. That how she blames herself.’

Ashley buried his head in his hands. ‘Great. Just great. My poor little girl.'

He looked back at SJ, and then his gaze landed on CC, who had tears streaming down his cheeks.

‘C’mon baby, wake up..’ the drummer was softly begging.

A sudden groan escaped her lips, and she moved slightly.

‘She moved!’ Blade leapt to his feet like he had just received an electric shock and ran to fetch a nurse.

One followed him back, and checked her all over.

‘The reaction was probably caused by the Demerol. Not that I disagree with Dr Bellion’s choices, but I would of used a different drug. I find Demerol causes restlessness and nightmares.’ She said.

Jinxx and Ashley growled softly simultaneously.

‘Great, now Punky Princess is going to have nightmares, can this get any fucking better?’ Jinxx muttered.

‘It should wear off in about 5 hours.’ She left after that.

I leant back in my seat, closing my eyes. All we could do was wait now.
